Just listened to Walking In The Rain. Like the guitar and the lyrics
are cute and tell a wonderful story about your lives together. I really
love the pic. I will definitely be listening to more. -
Good for you and welcome, Felicia S. I’m only on my third week and I
actually feel like I can play. I went from nothing to being able to
play some things. I’m sure you will enjoy TAC. -
Multiple wins, Guitargeezer-Jack. Happy Birthday. Congratulations on the new grandson. Nice looking guitar. After you teach Luke the M and O chords, would you teach them to me? 😉

Welcome SongBirdie. Congrats on your second day.
I’m on my third week and really enjoying it. Hope you do as well.

I decided to get away from the 30 Days and Fretboard Wizard for a bit and looked at the Skill Courses. I’m a blues fan so I thought I’d see what I could do with the 12 Bar Blues. I picked up the first day pretty well and I’m working on the second. The biggest challenge isn’t the actual playing but getting the measures correct so that I don’t play something too many times or not enough. I’m liking it.

Great DaveJ!
I really liked the 2-pad stack, but considering I’m just getting started, I haven’t tried finger picking yet. And, I’m still having some minor issues with some of the beginning things. But, I’m filing it in the back of my mind for future reference.

Great albert_d!
I’ve never seen Tommy Emmanuel in person, but I have seen him, along with Eric Gales on a taped show from a Joe Bonamassa cruise. Those guys were jamming!!
I’ve seen Bonamassa multiple times and met him 3 times. You have to go see him too if you get a chance.
Enjoy the show.

Thanks for the replies and words of encouragement.
I’m getting pretty good with the G and D chords and the associated exercises, but the last joint on my ring finger just doesn’t seem to want to bend far enough to clear the D string for the C chord. I can finally get it, but then when I slide farther up the neck during Tony’s exercise, I lose it. I feel like a contortionist trying to get my hand, wrist, & fingers in the right position. While I was looking for something on Google, I came across a video that may explain part of my issue. This person suggested angling my fingers across the frets as opposed to keeping my fingers square to the neck. Now, I haven’t looked yet, but I think that staying too square may be part of my issue. But, as I said in my first post, I’m stubborn. I’ll get it.

Nice job!!! Lots of finger work. Looks like you’ve been doing your finger stretches. I hope I will eventually get that kind of reach.
👏
