  • 70th Wonders – 2 Wins

Posted by Guitargeezer-Jack on November 16, 2021 at 6:21 am

This month started my 70th time around the Sun. Yes, as the worn out aphorism goes “I survived the 60’s twice” yet I gained two surprising wins at that life marker. First, I have received a very special blessing with a second grandson. He came two and a half weeks early but both mother and child are healthy with no complications. Second, my daughter and son-in-law marked my birthday celebration by giving me my first electric, a Gretsch G2210 Streamliner Junior Jet. That pulled on my heart strings too! Here is Grandpa with all his boys. From left to right – Beau (10 yr old Boykin Spaniel), Ben (5 days old) and Luke (6 years old -note the Carolina Hurricane attire).

I foresee a boy band ahead. Showed Luke how to form D and A chord shapes so he could play D-A-D on his Baby Martin. Then he asked me, “show me how to do MOM”. Time to start TAC Junior!

@Guitargeezer-Jack What a cool fist full of wins! Congratulations to the fam on the birth of Ben! I think a TAC Junior is a great idea too. Waiting on that boys band …

Multiple wins, Guitargeezer-Jack. Happy Birthday. Congratulations on the new grandson. Nice looking guitar. After you teach Luke the M and O chords, would you teach them to me? 😉

Mike, I believe you will enjoy playing the Gretsch. It’s fun to play.
