Nice win Earl!
I’m really looking forward to next tuesdays episode. I’ve learned to love the metronome and use it everyday. I think somebody posted on here once can’t remember who to credit it was like having there own one armed drummer which made me laugh and stuck in my mind. For me it was a revaluation as I always thought I couldn’t play and strum along to songs because I had no rhythm which held me back from learning, something I now think of as a myth an inbuilt inert ability to play along to a song in time. Maybe some people pick it up more naturally but it’s a learnt skill. It started simple for me single quarter notes then built from there. I hope Tony has some more tips on Tuesday to take it further.

Nice one @Marisa ! Lockdowns been lifted over here which means my workloads gone through the roof which has always been a setback to me learning the guitar but I’ve been trying to build a more resilient routine instead of using it as an excuse, even tho I’ve got less time I’ve been trying to learn the fretboard too, so when I’m walking the dog I try visualise the fretboard and name the notes in my head. whilst not as good as actual playing I’m hoping it helps when I can play. #smallwin

Nice win and great picture looks very cool. You’ve reminded me I got a strap for Christmas and I’ve still never used it I just play sat down I’ll give it a go now.

Hi Donna, love your effort to get the notes down on paper I’ve done that trying to follow lessons on YouTube. The tab is still there it’s in a little gray icon below the videos it can be a little difficult to find if you don’t know it’s there. Picture below to help.

Morning @Jonesy sorry that didn’t work. You could try support I’m sure they will help you through your issues every time I’ve been in touch they’ve been very helpful. If you click on the question mark icon in the bottom corner of the menus, when you have done that you get to a page where there are some answers to common questions. In the bottom right of this page is a blue speech bubble icon if you click this you can send them a message. That’s how it appears on my screen anyway. Good luck it would be nice to have your input.

Not too corny, I’ve heard worst. 😜 I think it’s good to put these thoughts out there it helps you learn from them. With that positive enforcement your giving yourself each time it can only result in getting better even if your not at least you won’t be in a bad mood 😂

Hi mark, totally I have learnt this. Something else which might be obvious but took a light bulb moment for me to figure out is often I’d play a whole song then slip up at a difficult bit/ less practiced bit then off back to the start I’d go and the same would happen again, Then I figured out that I’d get really good at the start as I played this much more but still struggle on the ‘crux’ of the song so I now start on the harder bits and play them over and over when I’m fresher before adding the easier (for me) parts. Nice win!
