As a fairly recent new TAC member I am very inspired by stories like this, Albert! From your description it sounds like I’m somewhere in the vicinity of where you started 3 years ago, and if I can make as much progress with Tony over the next 3 years as you have, I’ll be ecstatic! Congrats and happy playing as you head for #4.

That was awesome! I don’t know that song, but I do like the story teller style of songwriting, too (big fan of John Prine). Folks like you in the TAC family are a huge inspiration to guys like me who are coming from several years of “dabbling” and finding Tony’s system to be a game changer!

Beautiful job! Like you, I was blown away when I first heard Blaze Foley, after first hearing John Prine’s version of Clay Pigeons. If you haven’t already discovered it, I highly recommend Blaze’s “Moonlight Song” as well.

Not sure about being way ahead – I haven’t even recorded myself playing yet, much less posted anything online! But I’m determined to get there. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks, Kitman. I have been thinking about the VOM’s and have watched some of other members performing there. Definitely at some point I’d like to jump in, once I have tried recording myself a few times and feel comfortable in front of a camera. I decided recently to investigate setting up a modest home studio – my next guitar will have to wait a bit! Would appreciate you sending that link.
