Welcome to TAC, and good luck on your journey. @Bill_Brown has answered your question, and we all wish you the best.

On the surface, you are correct; what a great question. I will do some research today and understand the process. Hopefully, someone in the TAC community will chime in with answers. Great question, @the-old-coach.

What you described is a huge win. Welcome to the TAC community; I will look forward to your journey. Good luck.

@Ron-N, good luck on your journey. I wish you the best in your guitar travels. “The only thing that is constant is change,” as I get older (not happy with getting older, lol), I have to accept those changes and focus on why I am here. I don’t take too much personally and miss Levi and Noah, but I am thrilled with Tony’s approach with TAC. TAC gets me up in the morning and is my lunchtime break; I am grateful for that. I wish you the best, my friend; please continue your journey and keep a positive attitude about TAC and all of its outstanding members.

Happy Anniversary @john-coonanyahoo.com-au, great job.

@MMMURRAY, I can’t add anything new to the discussion, but I found it interesting with all of the suggestions. Good luck with your choice.

@MMMURRAY, I use a metronome and found it a lifesaver. It does take time and a lot of patience. I found that it forced me to slow down, and slowing down was worth the effort needed. The effort will pay off in the long run. Good luck on your journey.

I join @Bill_Brown in wishing you a happy 3rd TACiversary. I have enjoyed all of your offerings of advice and encouragement and look forward to many more years of guitar wisdom. Have a great day @Loraine and again, congratulations.

I agree with all of the other TAC community comments. I would consider the Fretboard Wizard, and having said that, I think (and have found) that using that tool allows and encourages you to proceed. I have played music, other than Guitar for over 40 years, and found by accessing the FW course threw me over the top. Patience and trust the process. Good luck, my friend, and I will keep my eyes open for further developments.

I could not agree more with the observations mentioned above. I practice songs daily and have to look at the music sheet the next time I play. If I understand it correctly, the professionals practice hours and hours to memorize the songs. I had a music teacher that would play any song I mentioned and said it was from doing it thousands of times and understanding the chord structure. Thanks for the great discussion and sense of community that we have. Enjoy the journey, everyone.

Great post, @Loraine as usual you hit the nail on the head. Thanks for your input always timely and positive.

Your advice is straight to the point and dead on. Thanks for the video on reading TAB. I know how to read TAB, but any reinforcement is terrific.
