I did some traveling south too this past week to Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico, as stops on a 60/70’s music cruise featuring Justin Hayward and many others. Got to hear and speak with a (young) guitarist, Mike Dawes, who recently recorded with his guitar hero, Tommy Emmanuel. Mike is a percussionist guitarist from the UK and very entertaining – currently touring with Hayward. Able to hear him do two sets on board the ship. Check him out on YouTube. Lots of energy!!

@Fletch and bandmates – as a long time Moody Blues obsessed fan, your music reminds me so very much of Ray Thomas vocals. I will be seeing Justin Hayward soon on a rock n’ roll themed cruise. The melodic nature of your voice is wonderful.

I think all the guys have made good points. It comes down to what you are most interested in at any given time. Although I have attempted all the DCs, my first year I place more emphasis on chord shapes and their transitioning from one to another. This year I spend more effort on the guitar lick lessons each week (as on Acoustic Tuesdays).
You will see over time that TAC repeats the weekly lessons. I noticed this once I passed around 52 weeks. I’m one of those that likes to have actual downloads on paper and use the Weekly Progress Tracker forms to organize myself and make notes as well as, since I am well into year two, I can have a benchmark for how much progress (or lack of) I have made over the last time the lessons were presented. I keep all the paperwork in a large ring binder with each week with monthly sections. Tony does change things up as far as the order or adding a new (to me) weekly Daily Challenge. How I tell it is a newer or older lesson is by how many tattoos Tony has! 😆
I noticed on your profile you are around 150 playing sessions so far. That’s huge. There are many that don’t continue after 25 sessions, if that many. TAC does have a life membership option you can do PRIOR to the auto-renewal for when you reach your first year. It’s a bargain for those of us who like to take it slow and easy on our guitar journey. Welcome to TAC @Jeffff ! Yes, you can start dabbling in the DCs. Don’t get frustrated by thinking you must master each lesson. Work on those that match your guitar goals.
Look over the other Skill Courses too. They focus on areas like learning additional chord shapes (on page two), strumming, barre chords, finger picking, etc. I found those courses very helpful my first year with TAC. If you signed up for Fretboard Wizard, I think that course is important for you to get to the next level in your guitar journey. Hope this helps you toward having your best acoustic life.🕳

Yes, sad. Another rocker gone. Excellent tribute to David Crosby. Saw him in concert twice. With Byrds in 1971 and later years with CSNY. Always liked his sense of humor. Your rendition is way more polished than my version posted in this forum recently.
Regarding musical blasts in our past, I’m heading out this coming week to sail On The Blue Cruise with many classic 60-70s bands represented including headliner Justin Hayward, Pat Travers, Randy Hansen (Hendrix), Ambrosia, Lovin’ Spoonful (minus John Sebastian), The Babys, Renaissance, Firefall, Dave Mason,The Zombies (my wife saw them in 1964), Al Stewart, Starship(Mickey Thomas), Mike Dawes (amazing guitarist tours with Hayward), Little River Band, and, many tribute bands (Carpenters, Sixies – variety show). It will be good to see them before embarking to Rock n’ Roll Heaven.
Should witness awesome guitar playing.

Absolutely @albert_d – those song vaults contain some real gems for learning fingerpicking and flatpicking from introductory to advanced. I need to venture into them myself.
