Thank you @stevieblues for the acknowledgement and encouragement.
Appreciate @zeebow (Dzuy N’s) comment as well. Yes, having fun is the goal.

@Fletch, I am a long- time fan of the Moody Blues so this ballad reminds me of the musings and vocals of Ray Thomas in particular. Please accept it as a supreme compliment. 😉

That’s UNBELIEVABLE @Marty69! I thought I was doing well at 300. Wishing you many, many more!! Wonder if anyone else in TAC Land has more (other than Tony)?

MemberJanuary 30, 2022 at 7:17 am in reply to: Taylor 812ce. New baby for my guitar family@Cadgirl – I lucked up by getting a gently used Taylor 414ce-R as my second and now favorite of mine. You have good reason to be excited with the Taylor. Regardless of brand or model, if it feels right, it is right for you! Have fun and wear it out!

Loraine is correct recommending 30 Days to Play as your first course. I found under the “Skill Courses” category – Your Next Six Chords – a good one to complete second. If F chord shapes are difficult (it is typically the most difficult one since it requires barre positioning), take a look at the Q@A at the end of the Fretting Hand Toolbox skill course for more discussion related to problems new guitarists face.
Remember this should be fun above all else
Regarding Daily Challenges – don’t get discouraged by them, some are too difficult at first. You may find the Friday ones easier as they reinforce chord shape and learning to transition from one to another.
You should look into the Stretching for Guitar course early on too. That really helps prepare you to physically play longer.
As Tony says just picking up your guitar for 10 minutes is important. That amount of time usually far exceeds that limited timeframe in reality once you get going each day.
Plan to attend the live zoom Progress Party Tony hosts quarterly- next is April. The Acoustic Tuesday every week helps to keep us engaged too.
Hope this helps you to further navigate your TAC journey.
@AnneN wishing you many hours of success and enjoyment. Welcome to the TAC Family!

Nicole, If you mark a lesson by using the heart symbol (indicates “favorite”) then you can access a lesson anytime after month end. Welcome to the TAC family. Wishing you much fun and success!

I suspect, @Moonhare (Darren) you will play splendidly for your first VOM based on what I have witnessed you do on Play for Us. Expect to be nervous but also expect the jitters to vanish soon after you start playing. I found those involved in VOMs, like MG, are very kind and supportive. I’ve only done one so far but am looking forward to my next VOM.

Thanks so much for your remarks @Loraine – yes, I will try to get a wider view of my fingers in action next time. Got to start learning how to play standing up too. Just so you know, regarding this song, I was quickly transitioning the D chords (D / Dmaj7 / D6 / Dmaj7 / D) followed by ‘Em & A, then G A D to complete each verse. Fun song to play!
Someday I want to play Chapin’s “Thirty Thousand Pounds of Bananas” regarding a true yet tragic incident near Scranton, PA.

@Moonhare – I too am impressed by the Peterson Strobe. Not just great reviews by fellow TAC members but those on the Sweetwater site. Had a basic inexpensive Snark that stopped operating after about two months so I have used phone tuner app. Thanks to your posting I ordered the Peterson this week and told my wife it’s your fault! 🤓

It was much easier than I thought thanks to guidance from TAC Support Superstar, Victoria.
Step 1 – Use link https://tonypolecastro.com/enroll/#SIGNUP
Step 2 – Select the Lifetime Plan and pay the $599 by credit card or PayPal
Step 3 – Contact Victoria at TAC Support by using this email address:
Inform her you’ve upgraded to Lifetime and request an adjustment of your prior payment (paid my first-year membership for $197 in March last year, after paying the $599, I contacted Victoria using the email address, she did the rest so life membership for TAC payment was $402 ($599 minus $197). To me that is a heck of a deal to “credit” last year’s payment. I used PayPal so I got notices of both the auto-renewal annual payment cancelled and $197 credited).
Hope that helps you @Stickmaker (and others wondering how to upgrade).
PS – I appreciate Mike G. mentioning to me the benefits of lifetime membership.
