Good for you @johnny67 ! Good for us junior TACers to know we could have such success in the future with persistence and practice, practice, practice

Thank you Kristin1. Both how it feels and how it sounds will be important attributes.

I thank you again for enlightening me. Have to see how that neck fits in my small hand. There is an awesome non-chain guitar shop in Charlotte, NC that likely has it or can get one.

Thanks for your comments Mike. Years ago I bought a Boss Looper for my daughter (my son in law uses it now). There is a used but “like new” Boss amp I am looking at for about one hundred less than usual cost. Early Christmas? If I get it I will let you know if it lives up to the hype. Jack

Keeping several in there makes for a nice shaker instrument too! I figured the retrieval technique out but find it interesting there are actual instructions available online for various methods of removal. Thanks @SoCal_Ian for your comments.

Wow! Real-Vic-G – your response is just what I needed. I actually got the Gibson and Martin models listed as suggestions from my son in law who is a very accomplished guitarist. I told him it was time for me to look beyond Taylor for an instrument in the $1600 price range. He has an impressive guitar arsenal and we go to guitar shops to try various brands and types (much to our wives’ dismay). You may have seen a fellow TACer thinks highly of the Martin CEO-7 as worth considering (is $1000 more). I figure whatever I get I will enjoy until passing it on to my grandsons so do want a quality instrument. Watching the many Zager videos I get it they don’t use vendors so they have the nice features at my original price point (discount offers periodically) and reported easier playability for those us with older hands. Very much appreciate your thoughts. Very helpful. Thank you!

Watched Tony’s Acoustic Letter review from 7 years ago for the Martin CEO-7. That guitar looked and sounded great in Tony’s hands. It is $1000 more than what I budgeted. Just might need to stretch the bank account when I find one to try then run fast when my wife finds out. Thank you for the recommendation @Marty69 !

Thanks Bill for the advice. I experienced that “this is it” sensation when I first played my Taylor 414ce-r at a guitar store. I am sure I will discover another guitar that sounds and feels right for me (regardless of brand). There’s a special one out there somewhere to adopt into my family. Jack

Still have in my music library his LPs, CDs and even Cassettes (no 8 track although I once had those too!) Worth revisiting from time to time. CITC is first track on “Verities & Balderdash” album with eight other great tracks. Another favorite of mine is his “30,000 Pounds Of Bananas” of a true but tragic event that occurred near Stratton, PA. That would be a challenge to play and sing!

Appreciate your responding Omar! I have enjoyed seeing your Play for Us forum videos. One of my TAC goals this quarter is to post three videos. Done 2 with the third in the works. Just getting the playing and singing at the same time has been work and learning the YouTube channel steps is still cumbersome for me as I am very much a novice to TAC and the guitar. Beyond Tony’s instruction in the DCs and skill courses I do find the information provided in forums beneficial. Thank you for being there (here) Omar. I hope to venture into VOM at some point this year to get to meet you directly.

Thanks Mike for your thoughts on this small but mighty amp. The looper and harmony features interest me to avoid pedals- I adhere to the KISS principle when I can. The reviews are very positive on the online music websites although one thought the looper was time limited. Thanks again for being an interested and active forum user. I have not ventured into VOM as I just recently posted two actual “play for us” videos. Getting the recording from my Apple phone to my HP all in one using the YouTube channel has been an adventure but figuring it out as I go along. 🤔 Very pleased Omar responded too. It’s good to hear from more experienced individuals as I am not quite 6 months into TAC and just a novice. I do have the motivation to put the work and time required to become better.
