Hey @ScottyMac…. this is me doing a set in a packed restaurante/bar…. would I prefer concert silence??? Yes! But, people are here for a good time…to laugh, drink, sing a long… it seems all the places on LI are like that.

Thanks, Mike. And, Stevie is an extremely proficient guitar player… so, your words ring true. The musician in me keeps trying to perfect my performances, so I learn a lot from recording. I too was expecting ‘show’ etiquette when I started gigging; like broadway show. 😅 But, the patrons are there to have a good time; drinking eating… talking, laughing, singing… I saw many faces watching me, but then there is the crowd by the bar… Most of these bars/restaurants are tinny and the sound bounces off all the walls. Sometimes it is difficult to hear myself, but I did the best I could. Every owner has asked me back to do my own gig. ( I typically open for other bands.) The scene remains lively when the ‘headliner’ plays, as well. Maybe it’s a Long Island thing! I am learning so much… Next up- getting my music onto my ipad! 😂
