I have seen Indigo Girls a handful of times throughout the years, they are amazing. I don’t think they recorded River for an album, but have played it in concert. You will find it on Youtube for sure. I got a tripod for my phone- so I was able to work on the whole angle thing and brought my recording space over to the fireplace as I was getting a huge ray of sunshine in my piano nook where I usually record. Thank you for your very thoughtful comments on my humble offerings. I think I achieved a kind of hybrid version of the 2 artists, and that is fine. (You can never unhear Joni’s version) I went with the Indigo Girl’s key. The awesome thing is prior to TAC, I had no access to a song like this. Strumming the chords doesn’t cut it. Now, by fingerpicking; travis-style here, a pinch there, I can approach music like this and make it sound like I want. That is the freedom! 🙌🏼 @Moonhare
