A small tip of something I am working on as well…. when you think you’ve hit the wrong chord… keep going – don’t show expression. Your video looked like me when I goofed. I don’t think people noticed until I gave the red flag!😳 Overall, yours was a wonderful performance.
Before VOMs, I stood when I sang or played guitar. So, thanks for suggesting the camera angle. With the new chair, or standing, I think I might see some improvement. We learn from one another… This is a great community. -
Great, Alfred! I would suggest that you record your “noodling” (but I suspect you already have). I get the most from hearing what I have done. Then I can judge if I am accurately assessing what I think I heard…

Beautiful vocals and all the right chords! congrats… day 57!!! WOW… You’re a better woman than I am shooting for 100 days of memorization…. I usually use the excuse: So many songs, so little time… and stick to the ones I know and add on for each VOM. I hope you take a much needed vacation when the 100th day is finally upon you.😊

PS we still need to talk about blending the 2 versions of “All Those Years.” I’m trying to figure how to convert a youtube video to MP4. OR better yet, did you save your recording as an MP4 before uploading to youtube? No pressure…

@Mark D66, I understand being in a funk. This has been a year that many experienced lack of joy, me included. It took finding the VOMs in early January to finally make me interested in trying again… I was hit and miss with the daily lessons and all I can say without giving details, is that it was a very sad time and recovery from it came in like a wind telling me troubles last only as long as I want them. Well, naturally, none of us want those troubles so I decided to get to work again. Thank you for your encouragement and I hope to hear more of you when you post your songs.😀

Marisa, My husband and I went out to buy a padded chair that would raise me up – the camera I have is FIXED to the monitor and to move it would be moving the entire monitor. I can move it by propping it on some books to angle it down but that doesn’t go far enough… I’m working on it and hope to have something by Friday night. Others have asked as well. Thank you for the encouragement! I’ll look forward to seeing your songs posted too…😀
