That’s sounding sweet and I am very envious of your barre chords! Glad to finally catch up with you on video and really looking forward to seeing more. Darren – Moonhare

It’s a great lick and one I know I’m going to enjoy. Nice to hear someone else getting some inspiration from it too.

That is great news. Just getting in and picking up the guitar for a few minutes is invaluable but don’t beat yourself up if you miss a few. The important thing is to have a bit of fun whenever you do get a chance to play. 🤟😎🎸

Hey that’s great. All these little practice sessions build up especially after a 40 year drought! Keep on rockin! 🤟😎🎸

Well done Doug, another milestone! The TAC way of learning really does wheedle its way into you over the months and years and like you, I set aside the 10 minutes then find myself still playing half an hour to an hour later. Interesting the point about songs. I either write my own, based on the lessons of the week, or just pop onto YouTube and pick a free lesson. YouTube works well for one off song tuition, not so well for the guitar technique and consistency that TAC brings. I hope yr 3 goes well and you keep that counter ticking towards 600. Onwards and upwards! Darren🤟😎🎸

Well done on getting to this point in your journey and I hope you find that consistency you want returning in year 4. It already sounds like you have so much more under your fingertips with the challenges. By the way speaking as someone who has gigged all over (on keys, not guitar…. one day) there is absolutely nothing that comes close to the experience of playing with other musicians. And if you find yourself surrounded by musicians who are more experienced than you then all the better. You will learn so much! 🤟😎🎸 Darren

Another lockdown silver lining. Congratulations! There is a strange osmosis that occurs when really allowing TAC to auto pilot your playing and you suddenly realise that something way beyond you a year ago is straight there under your fingers. Many of us share that experience of years of dabbling and no progress. Finally we’ve found our guitar home. Enjoy year 3. Darren 🤟😎🎸

A pleasure to read this account of your 7 years. Of course you are quite literally not the man you were when you started (I understand that every cell in our body is replaced over a seven year cycle) but you have explained so beautifully the journey so far and this is something those of us still at the beginning can take inspiration from. Thanks! 🤟😎🎸 Darren

The great thing for me is I simply haven’t felt like I’m ‘practicing’ guitar in the way I feared it might be taking when taking an online course. By following the TAC mantra of having fun, celebrating the wins and enjoying the journey it has transformed the way I feel about the wood and string object that used to sit on my wall. So far year 2 has been a blast. And yes, I am REALLY looking forward to meeting some UK guitar geeks for the first time! 🤟😎🎸

Hey there @everydayamy . My advice at this point would probably be to stick with TAC for the consistency of practice and getting mastery of techniques then just go onto YouTube and look up free song lessons there. I do lots of the song lessons by Angela Petrilli and they are brilliant ( I just learned a Foo Fighters and a Led Zepellin track). But I could only get them down because of the techniques I was learning in TAC. That said, I’m sure if TAC works its magic we will all eventually be good enough to cut the apron strings and say “Thanks and Adios”. Only you know where you are on your own journey well enough to decide if you can play everything on TAC to a level that you no longer need it. Best of luck. Darren 🤟😎🎸
