Don’t know why I said open tuning. It’s actually standard tuning!

Great rhythm and nice to hear the percussion on the guitar too. Always nice to put the lessons to good use in original songs. Keep it up! Darren (Moonhare) 🤟😎🎸

Now you’re cooking! I LOVE trying different tunings, even if I have absolutely no road map in my head for what chords I’m playing. It is more about finding shapes that work in that tuning and letting it run in a direction you’d never have gone in standard. I hope you get lots out of the D week and well done for stepping off the cliff!

Man that’s a good feeling! And ‘catching up’ on lessons is definitely not a sin. I do it all the time and I play a lot because I am mostly l working from home since the pandemic. Just getting in there every week at some stage is great. I think once you have callouses then the goal is to keep them. If you’re doing that you’re doing just fine! Good Luck – Darren (Moonhare) 🤟😎🎸

Thanks so much for posting. This is great – loving the bass run, lead etc and that Texas lilt. Funnily enough at the last 90 day party it was me and two ladies from Texas! I was the thorn between two roses!

Always a joy to hear you play and also fab to see you talking to Tony at the 90 day party. That was such an open and frank conversation about the self-doubt we all have even when those around us think we’re on top of it all. Permeates every part of life it seems! 🤟😎🎸

Superb song and this is a beautiful rendition. Great stuff. Justin Hayward is such a gentleman too. Still playing live with some great vids on YouTube.

Thanks @John_Hall – It will sound a little better recorded but as long as you keep going when you make a mistake it isn’t a disaster.

Thanks @Greg_Weber . I don’t know about you but as soon as I turn on the camera I go astray! But what I lack in accuracy I make up for in enthusiasm.

Learning the right way to record acoustic guitar in the studio for when I do this properly but nice to just pop my camera on a tripod and play as well. For a 12 year old camera it does pretty well.

Thanks @je4 . The birds are much betters singers than me so that’s why most of my posts are instrumental.
