Absolutely worth it. Keeps you wanting to do new things each day rather than the temptation to just do the once a week lesson and leave the guitar in the case in between. I have been staggered by the level of support everyone has given since I arrived in late April and I have already seen a lot of improvement. Good luck and enjoy!

Still getting the basics down and didn’t want to be constantly retuning my guitar but these banjo licks look really interesting. It’s great to have something a little different in your arsenal so well done on getting stuck into it. Perhaps when I get a second guitar…🤔

Good stuff. Always a bit of a high when you get one of these exercises done. Keep it up!

The GS mini looks like a great playable guitar. Hope you get a lot out of it and well done on your progress so far.

Really enjoyed this, great to hear different techniques dotted around. Love the Martin too (guitar envy!). I looked at exactly that guitar this month to celebrate my first 50 days but couldn’t quite stretch to it. Did get a beautiful tobacco sunburst concert cutaway Yamaha instead though so I’m still happy.

Wonderful. That I have to learn!

Yes I was allowed to have it for 14 days to see if I got on with it. I emailed the store after 2 hours to say they’re not having it back!

Will do. So much fun to be had with different tunings.

You’re right about the B. Time to start getting stuck in with these chords.

Thanks @Bill_Brown I now need to pull that out of the hat without thinking but it is great to know I’m getting there. New guitar is wonderful and I’m going to tune my other one to open G to try some slide.

I agree @SoCal_Ian that Alamo do some amazing videos comparing acoustic guitars. I spent a huge amount of time on their YouTube channel before deciding on a new guitar to help me at this beginning phase.

Interesting isn’t it @ccebell . After a lot of research, reviews and help from the TAC community, I have just ordered a concert sized guitar from my local store with a cutaway (and a pickup for recording) which looks like a lot of bang for the buck and should be with me for a long time. I’m then going to tune my Fender dreadnought to open tuning to try some of those exercises on it.

☺ Well observed @jumpinjeff ! Unfortunately that one is a 12 string and like playing with razor wire! However I have something on its way from my local guitar store in time for my 50 days of TAC…
