One of my favorite nostalgic songs. For years I thought it was for an old girlfriend and always thought of her when I heard it. It was only recently that I learned it was written for David Gates father.thanks for your rendition of it, Kevin

Please don’t think bad of me but every 3 months I have my strings changed at a little music store here in Daytona.the good thing about it is that I get to chit chat with other customers and the folks doing the changing also check the neck and general condition of “Arnolt”, my huge Martin super d guitar😎

Thanks so much for the warm welcome back! I decided to go whole hog in (even though I’m a vegan) and got the lifetime membership as well as fretboard wizard . I’m starting the wizard first and then will jump into lessons/challenges later. Of course i will be following the forums. For you new folks the forums are the best there is and you will learn tons from them as well as getting tremendous support

I’m going to continue to use it with my nostalgic memories of my girlfriend from many years ago. I’m also going to use it in remembering my wonderful Mom since I already use Don McLean “Vincent” for my father.as get older (80 next month. Yikes!) I find that the songs I’m trying to play remind me of my past life. Good or bad I cherish them more and more.

you nailed it. even though im concentrating on the fretboard wizard i branched out a little today and went to the finger picking section where i nailed the first 4 lessons….and then came lesson 5. tony leads you right to the edge of the cliff and then just gives you a gentle shove and suddenly you are freewheeling!

Thanks ChuckS, you really expressed my feelings accurately. I will miss everyone. What surprises me is the number of people who have reached out to me to say goodbye and say very nice things.. I really will remember them all.
