A local Treasure Coast flower for TAC’s Treasure Coast Guitar Treasure.

You have inspired, and supported, and humored us for 3 months and 10 days with a challenge that has explored so much of what you can do, and we can too, if we just commit to it like our hero.

Thank you @michelle-psl for glorious music, and fun as we regain normalcy. Your play and voice get stronger, and WOW, what fun. (I hate to admit that you have done so many of the songs, from memory, that I try to play, and have done them so well.)

Congratulations, and on to the next!

I am a firm believer, @Michelle-PSL, that “Balance” is what you accomplish at the instant before you fall of the log. Careful, it is just as scary as picking up a guitar for the first time.

Oh, and as for fear of painful fingers, when I restarted this last time (2 plus years ago now) I had forgotten about caluses and how they are formed, and it was the progress on that front that actually got be revved up to play more. So, during you balance time, maybe he would listen and pick up the electric to accompany you on something he would like yo to play? (Worked for my daughter when she visited to get her to apply her lovely singing voice.)

@myfriendscallmesuperdoug, First, Welcome to TAC. Second, that is so awesome. Day 100 is the same as day 1, except now you probably can do things without thinking that you didn’t even think about back then. Progress is so much fun, and, you are getting it, every single day you play.

    Well done.

You had me with a historical note. A lovely take on a lovely song, Thanks.

BTW, I know you are striving to get through the next 2 days and check the challenge off your bucket list, but I really hope before day 100, you take the time to listen to a couple of these in sync, like day 1, 45, 75 and 98 (chosen at random by the way, but you will understand the point), to mark the amazing progress and confidence you play and sing with now. The music is wonderful, but the progress and enjoyment (even on those really bad days you talk about, which must be absolute hell) is evident.

You deserve a lot of praise for pushing so much great gain and joy into so little time.

Well done my friend, well done.

@ross h, I believe, intuitively, @Tony teaches it this way as basic skill that can be used to assist with string location, rhythm, and fretboard learning all at the same time. While you are correct there are other styles, TAC lessons are trying to reach a very broad group ranging from raw new players to those with significant, if distant, experience and skill.

Speaking for me, it is hard for me, but it is easier than keeping a number of different methods and styles going on this skill I have not mastered, or even come close.

@PapaMinou ,Every Thursday and Friday lesson is a new challenge for me personally. Sometimes (like yesterday) the Chords are there and understood, and moving is easy (G, C, D) and I don’t have to look. Sometimes (like a lot of the Accidentals) even getting my head around Diminished Chords and replacement 7th’s is like being out in Deep Space 9, let alone my fretting fingers, and then add the playing hand. Wheeeeew!!

But over time, they come, and become more part of what I know. Many times, the Goal is: understand the pattern, play it with my eyes closed. Do I get it every time? No, but I get it sometimes, and my chord progression and formation is improving.

    Guess it is like getting to Carnegie Hall. . . . . . . .

@Michelle-PSL, Ithink your channelling of Stevie Nick was really fine.

    How about a Happy Medium.

I see your future, you are going to work on finger style, and become an even better player than you are. How about 100 days of Finger Style Ukulele????? Back to your roots of so long (15 months?) ago.

    I am smiling;;-))
