I loved this! So well done. I looked up the chords; a lot; but doable. I couldn’t sing it as well as you; but will enjoy learning it. Thank you! Awesome cover!

Nice job! You have quite a song list you have played over the last couple of years here. It’s great to read you are going to meet and play with others.

Good job Marty! Nice strumming technique with the fingers. It accentuates the chords so well.

Very nice sir! Smooth, playing within the song. Clean, clear notes. Most excellent Charlie!

  • I will be 72 in a couple months, and so identify with what you are saying. Some days they are just stiffer, slower, or almost seem to lock. I have begun exercising them daily, and even while just sitting in a chair will move them all around, open and close, etc. Regular movement and use seems to help some. Keep playing. That in itself will lengthen their use and ability.

TAC has been the primary tool that has helped me understand and play guitar. The techniques it has taught (which you can apply to songs); are a foundation. The platform to be consistent in practice, and become more disciplined in learning, growing in my playing ability, was what I needed to progress. My understanding of the fret-board and theory have improved greatly. After gorging on videos to learn songs (and having very limited progress); I was finally able to by using TAC. I do look at song lessons, or tabs, and work them out on my own. That wouldn’t have happened without TAC.

Yes; it is a process; seems slow going; and can be discouraging. The process does work over time though as we are consistent. i have times when I do the minimum 10 minutes, and times when I put in an hour or more now that I have progressed some and am also working on a song here and there.

I am a month away from 4 years now; and though started older (I am 71), could not have imagined I would be able to post videos such as I have recently of the Wagon Wheel Chord Progression and Wish You Were Here. They are far from great, but oh so much more than I thought would be.

Keep at it and you will surprise yourself. Don’t wait to get something down pat before you take a next step. Keep playing and watch things start coming together. The best to you.

It will be 4 years in a month. You can look at some of the videos I have posted in the TAC Forum in the last year to see where I am now, as compared to where I was when I started, which was only knowing a few basic chord shapes. I recently posted messing around with the chord progression to Wagon Wheel; and did Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. I know they are not the best, but I only got there by using TAC. Everyone is different; but TAC is just what I needed; even when it seemed I was only progressing in small increments. Then it struck me; that is exactly how you improve; little by little each day. The best to you.
