Nice riff Kit. Great sound on your recording too!
As a bonus, you do a great job of impersonating me!

I love your new song Terry. Thanks for posting. Your vocal is very clear.
I hope your knee surgery went well and you are beyond the post surgical pain and fog. May your recovery go well. It is a lot of effort to keep up with the PT but well worth it.

Not sure exactly how much tension your guitar will tolerate. If it were my guitar I would either use extra light or silk and steel strings to play in tunings that involve more tension that standard tuning. Going with open D tuning is an excellent idea that will give you the pitch you want without adding tension. However, it won’t give you the unique chord shapes and fingering that a true open E will.

Howdy @Deacap. I know lots of folks don’t like to hear this but one of the most effective ways to learn to keep count and play at tempo is practicing with a metronome. I am a firm believer! It takes some time and patience to learn to use a metronome effectively but it is well worth the effort. Tony did a recent Acoustic Tuesday episode with pointers on using one. Perhaps around AT 190 +/-. Lots of other great vids on YouTube with excellent ideas. The main thing is you will have much more fun in the short and long term if you learn to play in time – on tempo. How you keep time can vary. Some use Tony’s 1 and 2 and counts. I find that confusing to me so I tap my foot. But I always do a few metronome sessions each week to be sure my foot is keeping proper time.

Hi Mark, I am not sure the playing session streaks is always accurate. But I think logging out and then in will definitely help. I don’t think it always counts a session if you stayed logged in from one day to the next. Congrats on wanting to accumulate a long streak of playing sessions. That should establish a regular guitar routine and lead to great progress!

You are correct about the virtual open mic attendance. I find myself doing things with people more and more but I still check in whenever I can. It is always a pleasure to both listen and play.

Welcome to TAC @CannaMouse! You don’t say where you are in your musical journey. If you are beginning, check out the 30 days to play course. My advice is don’t get hung up trying to perfect any one daily challenge lesson. They vary A LOT in difficulty so invest at least 10 min (longer is great but not essential every day) on each one even if it is really tough. Developing a great practice routine is the key. Once you do, you will really notice your improvement over time. Most important: have fun and enjoy the journey!

Hi @Marisa , thanks for watching my and for your feedback and idea! I agree a fast run embedded with he improv would have made the solo a bit better. Thanks for the idea!

I sure hope you can keep it under control Loraine. I want to hear some more of your posts. Maybe you will try playing at one of the VOMs! (If I have missed you doing just that I am sorry. We are doing some heavy remodeling and I have been a sporadic VOM attendee lately.

Are you able to play more regularly these days? Seems like you were having some health challenges for a while.
