Oh Yeah @RealKurt ! I heard you play this at the SNL VOM also. The sound is so much better on this YouTube vid. I totally agree with @Jumpin’Jeff and @Bill_Brown that you have all the chops to become a professional performer. Your vocals are amazing and your guitar playing is also wonderful. The combination is mesmerizing. If nothing else, start your own YouTube channel. Let the TAC community know so we can subscribe and share to the world. You WILL end up with a following.

Beautiful song and performance! Love your muted strumming Michelle. Yes – much harder than it seems it should be and you nailed it. I am so impressed at your perseverance in completing such a huge project! Not many would even dare to set such an audacious goal – let alone completing it. I am sorry I have not been here for your entire journey but I have really appreciated the segments that I have listened to. Thank you!

@ZADavid I understand your frustration with the rollout of the new site. It has improved in speed and stability but slower than anticipated. I joined in Jan 2020 and have been doing the daily challenges consistently ever since. Generally, I spend more than 10 minutes on each lesson but I put in at least the minimum 10. It was definitely difficult to see where it was going at first but I really started amazing myself at my improvement after the first year rolled around. I truly believe that fostering the habit of playing every day for at least 10 minutes has great results. There is about a year worth of daily challenges so I am now going through lessons the 2nd time and the change in my ability is stunning. I also am beginning to utilize many aspects of the challenges into my general guitar playing.
You say you haven’t taken lessons before but I have taken lots of them. I can tell you that the cost of TAC is nominal compared to almost any other lesson or guitar training I have seen. As others have said there are also lots of other courses included in your membership.
I strongly suggest you connect with one of the virtual open mics. You can find links to them in the forums. Get involved with the community. It is a big part of the benefit of TAC.

I even adjusted the settings so I could monitor while recording with minimal latency. There is hope for this audio illiterate dummy.

MemberMay 4, 2021 at 8:41 pm in reply to: learning to record using PreSonus StudioOne ArtistThe good news is I am now able to listen to the song I recorded last night when I hit playback. The not so good news is I did not knowingly change any settings. However, I did switch to the “Edit” screen before I hit Playback and was able to hear the recording through my headphones plugged into the AI. When I went back to the “Mix” screen I was still able to hear. Yay! Small Win! Thanks again for the suggestions. I truly wish I knew what I did but I hope I don’t undo these settings inadvertently.

I have seen three of Joe Gilder’s videos but hadn’t seen the intro vid that is great background. Thank you. Once I get to a rudimentary understanding of the absolute basics his information should prove invaluable.

MemberMay 4, 2021 at 8:02 pm in reply to: learning to record using PreSonus StudioOne ArtistHi Brandon. I am not sure what the Master Fader is (did I mention I am in the Dummies class?) but when I click the Play icon (right pointing triangle) a line starts sweeping through the graph of my recording from left to right and the sound meter graphs on appropriate Input and Main graphic displays are bouncing up and down in a manner that is coordinated with the visual graph above them
I have gone to the Start Menu and clicked on “Configure Audio Device” then clicked Audio Setup tab. I have the AI set up as both the Playback and Recording device.
My headphones are plugged into the back of the AI and the phone volume is at 50%.
I am getting no playback sound.

MemberMay 4, 2021 at 7:53 pm in reply to: learning to record using PreSonus StudioOne ArtistThank you Jeff. I am on a Mac. I do not have a choice to use my computer as the playback device. The choices are: 1. Built-in Output, 2. Studio24c, 3. No Audio Device. I am not sure what Built-in Output would mean but I have tried it anyway with no success.
I have headphones plugged into Studio24c and have it set as the Playback device. I am hitting the playback Icon and it is clearly playing back through the recording but no sound comes out.
Thanks for your suggestions.
