    Wow @DiscostewLA ,

That was an awesome rendition of the old song. you even had some words i had not heard from other versions. I have been ‘trying’ to play that song for years but still cannot play and sing it at the same time. You are inspiring me! i am going to get back on it because of your wonderful version.

Nice job KevinZ! That was a really ballsy version. You even look a little like John Fogerty. i wish i could strum and sing along in rhythm as well as you can. you did a great job keeping the singing and strumming rhythm together!

    Hi Mrfredsporty,

I am having the same trouble, i am stuck in March and cannot get to April! I sent a message to TAC support so maybe it will be working soon and we can get to April. Good Luck!

    Wow JanetW,

Thanks for sharing, and i am so glad you found at least one of your Dad’s guitars and shared yourself playing it. It is so hard to take when your parents fade away from losing their memories. My mom died in 2019 after fading away from vascular dementia, and my 92 year old dad has been losing his mind to Alzheimer’s for the last 3 or 4 years. I hope you and your sister were able to share some good memories while you cleaned out the house. Cleaning out your parent’s home is really difficult. it is like giving away your own memories too.

    Wow Marisa!,

Really nice job! i have always loved playing Needle and the Damage Done, but have never been able to sing it successfully while playing. You did a great job and have a really nice voice. Thanks for sharing!

Wow Kitman, great job! I love the bends and am especially impressed how you had sort of an A and B part to your jam along with Tony. You timed everything well to fill out the entire backing track.

Beautiful rendition of the song! You play and sing together beautifully. You are motivating me to try more playing and singing. Maybe someday i’ll be able to play and sing in rhythm nearly as well as you!

Everyone has given you great suggestions @MMMurray. To them i would add two things. When you are starting out, use the lightest gauge strings you can get which are typically ‘special lights’ for an acoustic. The second idea is one i used to try when i had not been playing for awhile and my callouses were gone. Tune your guitar down a half step or a whole step to reduce the string tension. Put a capo on the first or second fret to bring yourself back up to standard tuning. As your fingers develop the callouses you will not longer feel the pain and will not need to make any special adjustments. The main thing to remember is don’t quit because your fingers hurt! As you keep playing it will get much better.

    Thanks @HowardM,

Yes, i do save pdf’s of each lesson, and favorite the lessons each day as well, so I can always go back. Because i was away last week without a guitar, it really hit me that the last weeks lessons were going away. i spent a good bit of time going over them over the weekend, so i am less worried now and ready to move into the July lessons.

    Thanks for your input @the-old-coach,

i too save the tab of each lesson, but not on paper. i print a pdf each day and save them on my computer. I think i have every lesson i have taken from Tony since October of 2024 saved. I do still value the input of all the TAC family. it would be especially nice this month to be able to peruse TAC members 90-day plans for the next week or two. I’m sure there will be new lessons in July that are equally inspiring to the ones Tony created for June. As Loraine says, i should keep looking forward to new progress.

Thanks for your input Loraine! I do agree, moving forward instead of looking back is critical to our progress. i guess i am just sensitive about it this month because i was traveling this week and did not get to spend my usual hour a day on TAC. I look forward to the July lessons too.

Thanks @Bill_Brown, Like you i had always assumed that many of the changes between old TAC and new TAC had to do with reducing the file server size that TAC took up, and i totally understand that. it’s just that there have been so many wonderful new lessons lately, but also so many thoughts and knowledge put online by TAC members that it is a shame to lose it all at the end of the month. You and @William_S have shared a whole lot with all of us lately and it would be great if it could remain accessible for a little while after month end. Maybe even just a week. I’m not really expecting it to happen but i just wanted to put the idea out there. I appreciate your responding!
