Only one comment. Only one word. That word? Disappointed.

There is no app for TAC, just the website.

Don’t sweat the daily challenges. I did them on and off for a while before giving up on them entirely. Occasionally I’ll log in and do one but usually when I’m trying to decide how to start my practice for the day. It’s always there IF you need it but far from mandatory.

Great post @N-lightMike! While it almost inspired me to go back to the TAC dailies (almost!) I still believe the community here is what made/makes TAC great. While I’m rarely on this forum anymore when I do come back I’m always reminded of the support and comradery that the TAC community provides. Way to go Mike and Happy Anniversary!

Don’t censor yourself @Mrfredsporty. We’re all here to talk and learn from each other so feel free to post in between your playing sessions.

Zagers are just relatively inexpensive Asian made imports with a decent setup. I think you’ll best be served by simply taking the Orangewood in to a pro and have it setup the way you want it to be.

I always felt mine was fairly obvious as it’s based upon my name and geographic location. 😉

Yes, you have to create an account and a channel to post videos. You can make it “private” so only invited people (allegedly) will be able to see it.
Personally I like instructions from WikiHow as it shows pictures of a step-by-step for whatever you’re trying to learn. Here’s the one for you @the-old-coach : https://www.wikihow.com/Upload-a-Video-to-YouTube
If you’re more of a learn from video person then here’s another you can try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT9ScMAe5yQ
Good luck!

Probably best to go to the source on this one: https://help.tonypolecastro.com/en/articles/4998786-how-to-reach-tac-support

It sounds like what you have is a “gig bag” and not a case. Definitely NOT plane worthy. Either get a hard case and take it on board or, as suggested, you can rent a guitar while you’re in Phoenix. Try doing a yelp search on rental guitars or instrument rentals and use the zip code where you’ll be staying. There’s a few stores in that area that do rentals so you should be fine. Good luck and safe travels @campfire.

Keep up the good work. Knowing barre chords is so important and really not all THAT hard. Plus, once you get them down you can play Major, Minor, Dominant 7ths, Major 7ths, Minor 7ths and even Diminished chords super easy all up and down the neck! Good things ahead!

Well, as you can see @N-lightMike I really rarely come here as I’m just reading this some 3 months later. I don’t do the dailies as I just don’t have the patience to fuss with them. Personally I never found them to be very useful for me in terms of giving me concepts or skills I was unfamiliar with and they just provided more frustration in trying to do them than anything else. I get that they work for some people. I’ve never been one to follow up/complete things that bear little fruit for me and so….well 3 months go by before I come back to the site. Yes, we WERE “mentors” but then the whole inflection of TAC changed. I’m not here to supplement Tony even if I could. Nope, he’s the pro and I’m leaving it to him as that was clearly the way he wanted it when he shifted the old TAC to what it is now. YMMV

Apparently “Secret Society”. 😜

As much as Tony says it is when Registration opens.

Never use? Never is a long time. How many times do you use the letters X or Q in words yet if you didn’t know what those letters were you couldn’t read the hundreds of words that contain them. Take it slowly and, over time, your hands will adjust to all sorts of strange shapes. Yes, there are alternative ways to play MANY chords. Too many other ways for Tony to teach them all. If you’re interested in that type of thing then simply supplement your learning from TAC with any of the many free sites or, even better (maybe?) there’s plenty of you tube videos as well (ex.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXsWJkW4ZWQ). Learning the guitar, like learning any new skill, takes practice and patience as well as an open mind. Relax and “lean into” the process. Before you know it you’ll be making shapes you never thought possible and laughing at how you were flustered by the B chords. Take it from someone who was once there. Good luck!
