I recommend one of these for every room you have a guitar in, and you will know what the temp and humidity is at the moment, and the max and min over time.

Another strategy is to put most of your practice time on a shoulder friendly guitar – check out the Fender Telecaster Player Acoustasonic. Thin body, contours that are right shoulder friendly and the tone is very acoustic sounding. For performing you can take out your Martin D-45. 😉

You may have tried this already, but give the shoulder a different ‘look’ by playing classical style – with the guitar resting on your left leg rather than the right. Might even try standing and playing, and set the strap at different heights to see what feels best.

Have a wonderful birthday Tony !!! And thanks for TAC.

Great playing David! Now how are you doing this? Are you listening to the song in your headphones while strumming along?
-
I’ve been here since the beginning, and yes challenges are repeated. The first few years they were always new and the count of unique challenges got to well over 600. But then (I am thinking) Tony said – that’s enough, now let’s repeat the best, about a 1 or 2 year cycle. That has been fine with me since it I get a chance to do better each time they come around.

Try the TAC Quick Start course, maybe that’s where you were.

Hi Sylvie – After choosing flatpicking or fingerpicking, click on the title of the song. Then you will see a page that shows you all the videos for that song and on the right side, attachments which includes the tabs.

Great work Ted ! Let’s keep the Song Vault alive, so many great songs in there.
-
Well done! Thanks for helping keep the song vault alive. 😉 Nice tone on that guitar – an SJ 200?
-
Well I sure hope they do make these songs available for sale to the public again. Tony & team did such a super job of arranging, documenting, producing and lesson-izing these bluegrass/old time favorites it would be so sad not to revive them again.

Well I have been wondering about submitting a song where I am not singing just strumming along, but thinking I would have to at least have the song playing in the background. But listening to you, it really isn’t necessary for the listener – I can hear Bowie singing it in my head, and yet I can focus on your guitar playing. I still think I would listen to the song in headphones while playing, I will have to give this a try.

But maybe that is ok – for the purposes of posts, if it shows my first name and my photo, that is unique enough. I am using my 3rd grandson as my photo right now, I will have to take a new one of me!
