Hi @Barry2021 I was under the impression that Fretboard Wizard was open now, but I could be mistaken. Even if a new version would become available, you’d have access to it if purchased now. I agree with @Bill_Brown that the Fretboard Navigation course in the skills section is a great precursor to Fretboard Wizard. Fretboard Wizard covers fretboard navigation, shapes, the CAGED system, ear training and the typical makeup of a song and identifying the key and chords. It was very interesting and I gained a lot of knowledge and skills, but as Bill pointed out, each time you go through it something different pops out and creates lightbulb moments, which are pretty cool.

Welcome to TAC @Wobert – What a great win, especially being newer to guitar. Will you be playing it for us in the future?

@Moonhare I love the backstory, and I’m amazed at your playing in such a short time, but you do have the musical background. Fantastic composition!

Great win. You might consider getting a chord book. They’re invaluable!
-
@punder So happy to hear your arm seems better after the rest and going off the statins. That’s a fantastic win!

Great wi @Stickmaker ! I agree with @Cadgirl about trying a capo higher on the neck, and then practicing your barre chords. I have a difficult time with A shaped barre chords due to finger strength and the bend of my finger falls right on the B string creating a gap, which prevents me from being able to barre the B string, but I compensate by using my pinky on that note.

Great job @GuitarGeni . That’s the way to practice it. Start at a slower speed, then increase by a small few bpm (say 5) each time. You won’t even notice a difference when using a metronome between the 2 speeds. Then keep increasing the bpm as you accomplish each one.

Just Music Geeks is open to anyone interested in the virtual open mics (VOMs). It’s a great community forum, and there are VOMs and other learning experiences. Hope to see you there @docteny !

Welcome aboard @Kafka ! I do believe this has been settled. Since Arsenal isn’t a part of a true guitarsenal, then you should have no qualms about showing off to us. Would love to hear your D-28. If not on this forum, you can visit us at https://justmusicgeeks.com/ & join us in one or all of our virtual open mics (VOMs) that are held throughout the week. All are welcome.

Great win @Cadgirl ! I keep trying to use a metronome, but it doesn’t come easy to me. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely not! @Unclerice If you enjoy singing, then you should just sing to your hearts content. Another option is you could always take voice lessons if you want to improve.

I count you as lucky to be able to do the d, g & b. The bend in my joint prevents me from being able to barre them. Great win in my book @Stickmaker
