Congrats on your TACiversary @johnny67 ! I can so relate t the anxiety of playing at the VOMs. I should probably make that a goal too. Here’s to another productive year of plunking away on the guitar!

There are a few people that completely amaze me with their skills, and you are one of them @Moonhare ! This composition is completely amazing.

@5noteblues Welcome to the TAC community! As for taking one or the other, I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t do both at the same time. The daily challenge is a minimum of 10 minutes per day. I’ll typically spend 10-20 minutes on it. So if you have more time to spare, then you could easily do some of Fretboard Wizard. Also, don’t forget, you own Fretboard Wizard and can go back to it as often as you like.

@JJM Welcome to TAC & congrats on completing the 30 days to play. 8n the Skills section, you might want to take a look at the Jumpstart courses. The finger and flatpicking ones teach you songs. TAC doesn’t teach songs per se, but it focuses on building a practice routine and on fundamentals. There are a lot of great sites and YouTube videos that teach full songs. Google 2 and 3 chord beginner songs. Good luck and have some fun with it!

@ Your best bet is to send a message directly to the TAC team. There used to be the Song Vault but Tony didn’t feel that people wanted songs, which is far from what I’ve seen, maybe if enough people request songs TAC will reinstate or offer something again.

That’s the one thing about finger and flatpicking, you get a clear sense of when you fret a clean chord. Make sure your palm is pushed towards the floor in your fretting hand. This adds natural arch to your fingers and makes it easier to fret on the tips of your fingers.
