Hi Juhan – I believe there is a difference between the guitars that nylon v. steel strings are used on. Nylon are used on classical guitars, while steel strings are used on acoustic guitars. I know you can’t put steel strings on a classical – It would ruin it. There are different tensions between the strings, which would effect the neck of the guitars. I’m sure others will be able to explain the differences better than I can.

So, it’s Noah’s fault we don’t see unicorns today?! Figures. LOL
You did very well on both these songs @AttyTJ

Loved the mixing of flatpicking and strumming. Great melody and very smooth.

@gmelectric@rocketmail.com I hear your bewilderment and frustration, but don’t fret. As @dr_dave mentioned, TAC teaches foundational lessons and a practice routine. It doesn’t teach songs, but once you have the foundations begun then you can branch out to YouTube and other sites to learn songs. After the 30 days to play, try the next 6 chords and a minimum of 10 minutes a day trying the daily lessons. You can venture into the skills section and take courses based on your interests. It’s your journey, so you can approach it in whatever way works best for you. I personally suggest the jumpstart into fingerpicking and flat picking courses (and they do teach songs in them).

Thank you so much for your insight @Alisa . I really have a difficult time with the boom chicka pattern. It’s something I’m working on, but I still can’t look at my hands, because I spend too much time thinking about it and it doesn’t sound fluid. I tend to hit the wrong second base note all the time when trying to do it. I’m a little more consistent with the first base note, but even there I may hit the wrong one about 60% of the time. There is a definite learning curve with that skill. @dr_dave is a wealth of information. He’s a walking robotom (word?) in my opinion. He has more skill in his little pinky that I do as a whole. I truly appreciate all his input.
