HELP@Moonhare Hey Darren, since you’re in the music industry, do you have any information or words of wisdom you can add to this post regarding copyrighted material and what can and cannot be posted on different social media sites?

All the above are great sources. My go tools are what’s been listed, but there are a lot. Google chord or tab sheets. You’ll find free and not free due to copywriters many times. If you know a specific song, Google chord sheets for it specifically. I have an entire cabinet with books, and I do use them. My favorite is <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;”>Complete Guitar Player Acoustic Songbook

I like the J45, but the main problem with Gibson is their confusing lineup and having mainly dreadnoughts or Parlors, not much in between. I like OM & 000 size, but Gibson doesn’t make either style. I like the CJ 145, which probably the closest to those sizes, but I’d have to buy on used market.
I’d love to get the Charlie Starr’s Les Paul too. Not sure if it’s out yet.

Hi @nickgodoyam34gmail-com That’s not a problem. On the webpage where you take the lessons, look for an arrow at the top that points left. You can also click on the June monthly link at the top left above the video, and it should list all the lessons.

@SportsDudeRy Congrats on the dive into lifetime membership. It makes sense, because if your with TAC for 3 years it’s paid off. I purchased it shortly after I signed up in 2020.
You’ve got me by a longrun playing wise. I picked up a guitar for te first time in mid 2020. I’ve realized it is a lifelonng learning journey.
I’m trying to find a Gibson acoustic, but they’re so expensive.

Congrats @benten !! Welcome back! It’s tough to come back to something, but you did it. Keep it simple and build your practice routine. Soon you’ll find it’s not a struggle and that you enjoy it.

Hey @abrew67gmail-com I have a tendency to grip picks too hard and to strum/hit the strings hard. It doesn’t have anything to do with the pick. Check to see that you don’t have a death grip on the pick. Practice on muted strings strumming with a feather-like strum – barely hitting the strings. Then try it without the mute. Missing the strings a few times is notmal when playing/strumming, so don’t worry too much if that happens. Another recent suggestion was for me to get a pair of drum sticks. During idle time or times of mindlessness, hold the drumstick and use it to rock your risk back and forth, as if you were strumming the guitar. It teaches you to hold the drumstick loosely and to only strum with your wrist. It develops muscle memory of the motion and the softness from the motions of strumming. It takes time, practice and patience to overcome a habit of heavy strumming. Be kind to yourself. 🙂 Good luck.

MemberJune 28, 2024 at 11:59 pm in reply to: YouTube cancled my accout any suggestions? HELPThis wasn’t too long – I found it really interesting. I’m going to have to watch it again when it’s not 2 in the morning – haha. I think it basically says that most of our covers are okay, as long as we don’t change the meaning of it or take away from it. But there were some things to watch out for and do some homework on. I’m going to be much more cautious, however.

MemberJune 28, 2024 at 7:39 pm in reply to: Last Dance With Mary Jane, Tom Petty & the HeartbreakersSo glad I’m inspiring others. You can do it! Pick a simple song – 2 to 3 notes and get the music down. It’s easier to add vocals, when you first start, after you have the music down. Good luck! I’ll be looking for it sometime down the road. Oh, and I learned early on that I was going to play, sing, post videos, and most of all I wasn’t going to care what anyone thought. So I’ve posted for quite a while now, and most needed work. But, every time I posted, I got better just for trying. I’m not in this to be a well known musician. I’m doing it because I love it.
Keep on “plunking”
