@Marty69 Beautifully played. Loved the sound, and the ambiance with the lighting was perfect for this song.

Very good! You performed the walk ups and walk downs and individual picking very well. Great base strumming. Really enjoyed this.

@JoeyKaye B7 can be difficult to learn, but it is used in a lot of songs, so keep working at it and it will eventually become easier.

I agree that a zip file or mass download for lessons or the month would be useful. But you seem to be doing the right thing with what there is.

I use a 2 finger power chord. Just drop the pinky.

@Mrfredsporty Do you have a link to the video?

  • @Philb Very poignant, but you captured the thoughts and feelings and reality of your son. The prayer at the end was so apropos. Thank you for sharing with us. My heart goes out to your family. It seems as if you and your son have found a great outlet through music.

Welcome to the TAC community @danny_jo , and congratulations on completing the thirty days to play. Tony does have some fingerpicking skills course and the daily lessons alternate between flatpicking and fingerpicking. There are many sites that give finger style lessons and where you can learn songs. TAC builds a solid foundation and basic skills and good practice skills.

Hi @DHeaton When I. First started, I used D’Addarrio medium lights. Since then, I’ve ventured out and experimented with different strings. I really like the Earnie aball Earthwood light. Very easy to play and sounds great. Keep a journal of when you change strings and the brand and type replaced with. You can make notes as to pros and cons, likes and dislikes in the journal or notebook.

I completely agree that it is much easier when I know the tune and lyrics well. I struggle with memorizing anything, so that’s out. Of the question for me. I have to rely on chord sheets or tabs.
