I really enjoyed this exercise. It’s great for my weakest fingers..
This was a challenge but seems like a smart exercise. I can see how it can strengthen my capabilities so I will come back to it. I sound awful but making progress on the muscle memory. The stretch between the index finger and the pinky might never come, but it’s worth the try.
I love this one. I did it up and down the neck every four frets.
Loving this
Pinky struggles with stretch index to pinky but strength is OK. Feeling slightly pain in my arm tendons
Good exercise, can really feel it in my pinkie after going through this a couple of times.
These are great for me. I broke my finger so it is extra weak and awkward. This will definitely be a part of my daily warm ups!
This one is a tough challenge for me. My hands do not stretch that far. I am not able, at this point, to put my fingers in that position. I can do the first 3 fingers but my pinky is not stretching to that 4th fret. Should I just go further down the neck and do the exercise there until I can stretch them that far? HELP! lol… (small hands here. Maybe its more of a situation where I just need to build the strength up? I dunno?
easy to do but for some reason I keep the first finger of the fretting hand locked straight when using the 3rd and forth pinky exercises
So grateful for these exercises!
How do I keep the fingers I’m not using to stay close to the fretboard?
hand is on fire lol .
Great exercise. I try to warm up with it every day. Still feels slightly uncomfortable, even after several days of doing it.
I’d like to hear your opinion on some of these hand/finger strengthening tools one can buy.
I have a spring loaded tool that allows you to push down on each finger separately. You can also adjust the spring tension from easy to hard. I think it works great. However, gets very uncomfortable in a short period of time. Not sure what it is called.

Ring to pinky is a struggle, resulting in middle and index standing straight up, in order to complete the exercise!
This was “not bad”, but then my pinky told me to stop now. I find the stretch from index to pinky challenging and also, for some reason my middle to pinky.
This is the exercise I like the best. My use of the up down using the pick is smoother than when I last did this exercise.
