Small win – rescued an old Samick from the skip bin. Took it to a friend who put on a new nut (missing) did something with a shim, restrung, replaced a missing tuner peg, cleaned it up – sounds great. I now have a dreadnought.

Congratulations on a rescue guitar! I have one of those myself. Mine had a little issue with the neck pulling loose from the body. Ugh! I’m attempting to fix it myself. the real test is putting strings back on. I haven’t gotten that far yet.

Good luck! I was going to attempt it myself but it sat for weeks and I just knew I wasn’t going to get to it. My friend had just launched out into the business of guitar repairs, so I thought ‘perfect timing!’

Great job, there are a lot of rescues that are fine with a little TLC, plus I think it gives them a certain character, Congratulations!

Very cool @Tonia_v . And I totally agree with @John that rescues have character and their value can’t be measured in dollars and cents.
