It’s more of a modified rhythym than a solo.

@Guerra6007 Even without the scale with individual notes it was very good.

Well done , @Guerra6007 . The lesson suggested to stick to keeping the chord shapes and you did a great job of doing that and adding notes and embelishment to make it interesting. 🎶

Nice playing Guerra6007! nice melody interwoven there while keeping a nice rhythm with the chords – just what Tony wanted us to do.

Sweet! I really enjoyed use to the notes to enhance the rhythm. I inspires as I am still working on the lesson!

Nice work @Guerra6007 🤩👏👏 I liked the “formula” you used, playing the root notes of the chords and then giving it some twang by using a tremolo effect on the G,B & hiE strings while holding the chord shapes – really nice😎

Is that what I was doing? Didn’t realize I was playing a tremolo effect. But the lesson did fall into my wheelhouse as I have played a lot of Carter style folk and bluegrass songs over the years. The extra notes on the D & C just popped out and I worked with the G chord for a little while to find something that worked with them too.

My musical training has been sparse over the years, took the fretboard wizard class from Tony and am signed up with Vic for his upcoming fretboard workbook class.

Took an introductory piano class at Missouri U when I was a sophomore but had to drop it because I was spending too much time on it vs the balance of my courses.

I suspect from reading your comments on the daily challenges at TAC, that you have considerably more music theory knowledge than me, and I respect that. Guess I better start reading chapters 1-3 now. See you there.

Thanks for the positive feedback, Bill.

That worked really well. I really flounder on a Wednesday but perhaps I need to watch a few more of these and start to get into the swing of it. 🤟😎🎸

Thanks! I think Wednesday is fun, usually. Can’t jam up and down the fretboard without looking up the locations of the scale notes that the lesson is about, that is the locations that weren’t covered in the lesson. So this last Wednesday was easier that way.
