    I have been with TAC for 10 months and Fretboard Wizard has not been made available to me. I understand a new version of Fretboard Wizard will be released in June or July. Can anyone who has taken Fretboard Wizard provide a basic overview of what’s in the course? I would like to know before the new version becomes available.

    Hi @Barry2021 , Have you tried the “Fretboard Navigation” course in the skills section? To my recollection, that is like a prerequisite ( or a tiny introduction) to FW and is taught by Tony in his no-stress teaching style, exactly the way he teaches FW, but FW contains a multitude of more info (guitar/fretboard related music theory) with light bulb💡 moments for those that can pick up on it. And once you pay $ for it, you own it for ever so you can go through it as often as you like. I’ve gone through it 3x now and I’ve found some more nuggets of practical info each time – things that I’ve over looked other times – making many more light bulb💡💡 moments for me🤩 IMHO, YMMV🤔

    Hi @Barry2021 I was under the impression that Fretboard Wizard was open now, but I could be mistaken. Even if a new version would become available, you’d have access to it if purchased now. I agree with @Bill_Brown that the Fretboard Navigation course in the skills section is a great precursor to Fretboard Wizard. Fretboard Wizard covers fretboard navigation, shapes, the CAGED system, ear training and the typical makeup of a song and identifying the key and chords. It was very interesting and I gained a lot of knowledge and skills, but as Bill pointed out, each time you go through it something different pops out and creates lightbulb moments, which are pretty cool.

    Thanks Bill and Lorraine. It looks like a good course, but I don’t think I can wait until June as it is not available to me at present. BTW, I have taken the Skills Courses on the fretboard, so it appears they are not linked.

    Hello @Barry2021 ;

    It was not that long ago that I contacted Support and asked about the Fretboard Wizard Course. Victoria told me that it would be offered in the “first months of 2022” though a date had not been set and that they would announce it in the Acoustic Tuesday Newsletter and post a banner on this site.

    You might join justmusicgeeks.com which is free and is an independent forum of TAC members so we can share information with each other freely. Right now one of the members has organized an informal course where they are helping each other to better understand the fretboard.

    Hopefully, the FW course will be available soon. It is the best introductory fretboard course I’ve ever run into. When you have fully digested that course, you are able to follow the many course that are available out there if you choose to dig deeper. However, many people find that FW gives them all they will ever need.

    I hope this helps.

    MG 😀

    Thanks Mike. I will check out justmusicgeeks.com. Do you have any other sites that might offer similar info to FW? I have been looking, but no luck yet.

    Hi there. Like you I thought I’d sign up for the Fretboard Wizard and found that it wasn’t available but at the January 90 Day Progress party Tony announced that the Fretboard Wizard 2.0 version will most likely be released in the summer, possibly June. It didn’t seem likely that they would release the old version ahead of it. So I’m planning to wait for that. It’ll be plastered all over the site and probably on Acoustic Tuesday show too. Tony was saying it has been updated because of feedback from participants over the years and anyone with the old course will get the upgrade for free.
