Where’d the time go?
I know I’ve been on here TOO MUCH lately, so I’ll (try to) keep this short. Then I’ll try and go back under my rock and shut up……
Tomorrow is my 500th playing session😎 and I’m pumped about that!
New guitar “doors” are opening-up for me— thanks to help, advice, and direction from you all here in the TAC Forums.
Gonna focus on guitar fun, efficient fretting-hand movement, experimentation and creativity, getting in “the zone”, confidence/singing, learning some actual music knowledge, and building a small, portable, home recording studio.
I read EVERY post– and watch EVERY “play for us” video in here- and use the info from others’ posts and responses to apply to my own journey. Yes– that’s right………. EVERY post.
Thanks for all your help- (so far)- everyone! The Forum is the HEARTBEAT of TAC.
OK- I’ll give myself a “C+” in the “keepin’ it short” department🤨.

@the-old-coach Great that you use the forum to it’s fullest. I find someone is always posting something that I want to further investigate and see if it’s right for me. Or they have the same issues that I have with playing and someone will have an answer that will help me out. Good for you on your 500th day of playing happiness. :),

Wow, 500! Congrats Old Coach on a great milestone – and I fully agree with Kitman, there should be a tee shirt for that – and maybe for 100, even, so I can get one sooner😆 Please don’t “go back under your rock” – like you, I find tremendous encouragement and inspiration from the forum posts. I’ve been ruminating recently on nailing down my guitar goals more precisely, and it’s great to have some concrete examples like yours to motivate me.

Congratulations @the-old-coach , not so much on the 500, but on putting the effort in to gain so much guitar mojo from the forum. Good for you. But now, I want to point something out:

Notice that while you’re still learning and feeling like a newcomer yourself, by actively sharing your journey with us those who have come after you are looking up to your example. So everything’s relative, my friend. Just remember that when you think I am a guitar guru. (I’ve got over 1000 playing sessions. It does add up and it does lead to improvement. But I have a long way to go.)
