2015-2024 = 9yrs
Posted by jumpinjeff on May 28, 2024 at 3:04 pmI am in the midst of a miracle. This last year of TAC was both the most challenging and most rewarding. My fingers are strong, I have basically learned how to turn my wrist and elbow inside out, I know where all the notes are located, my play has been deeply rewarding. I learned last year that my guitar is a Dopamine delivery system. I have no fear of playing the wrong note even one hundred times in a row. Once I figured out the reward path, with the fear of wrong/bad habit removed, my learning took a fantastic turn. I hit the TAC finger gym everyday. I have no more excuses, only the benefit of the best teaching system I could find. Thank you Tony P and all the TAC team. My dream of becoming a guitar player is being fulfilled!!! beyond my wildest expectations…which of course I abandoned a long time ago. Thank you TAC community for sharing your journeys. The inspiration you all provide me is powerful motivation!

@jumpinjeff Congratulations on your 9th year with TAC!!! You have been an awesome source of wisdom and inspiration and also an awesome friend. Wishing you many more years of guitar joy ahead of you, Buddy!!

Well hello there Stillhand @Carol-3M. You provided me the spring board for fast progress and the final frontier. Both from the same source. So glad you turned me on to the notion of the Tension manager…It was a game changer!!! The elimination of tension from my playing is ongoing…of course…someday though, maybe soon, it will be gone for good. Thanks for sharing your skill and artistry with me. It made a difference!

Wow – great testimonial. Thanks for sharing! This November will be my 5th year of playing guitar, I recently told my wife I want my future birthdays (will be my 65th) to be in “guitar years”, so 5 candles for the next cake!

Thank you @John_Bolling_Hall , 5 years is a lovely age.
As I am hitting 9 my toneversasional skill stack has increased in complexity. It really does compare to what a 9year old kid expresses in conversation. 12 more years and I will have a BA.

Thank you @Bill_Brown , Hopefully you find enjoyment in the playing. You would think it is automatic. I spent too long not recognizing what was happening…interfering with my own wacky expectations not connected to any logic. Getting that sorted out was when I found the next dimension.

I’ll be here, the results of hanging out here are the reward. I have learned a good deal from you as well @Loraine . Dom, Vic G, DeeDee, Trace, DaveH The Original (DTO), those guys are the OG.

Hey JumpinJeff– Congrats, man. While I’m (temporarily?) no longer in TAC, I still swing by and check things out, saw your post, and couldn’t pass up a chance at congratulating you. I’ve always been thankful to you for being maybe the one who (most) drug me from the weeds and back onto the road. I remember well our funny/strange conversations and perspectives and always took your advice as golden. I’m still playin’ and learnin’, and I guess I can partly blame that on you. Without the guidance and advice of “the Wise Man” over the three years I spent in TAC, I don’t know if I’d still be playing.

Your wit & humor here have been a mainstay! I came aboard Sept2018 and can remember the good ol days when the main color was green not orange! In fact I was at the last ALF in 2019. Was my first. Hoping he brings it back. Keep Strumming ol fart!!!
