A Thousand Thank-you-s
Tomorrow is my last day here in TAC- my anniversary.
In an earlier post, I mentioned that I didn’t just want to do an “Irish Goodbye”. It just would not be fitting, because of ALL the friends I have been lucky enough to get to “know” in here.
I have learned a LOT in the TAC program, without a doubt. I started out here 3 years ago tomorrow, with COVID coursing thru me, with an old, no-name, cheap guitar that had been mostly gathering dust for nearly 40 years. The very first ones to welcome me were Loraine, Michelle, and a fellow named Dave White– and I will never forget their “come-on-in” welcoming to a total stranger.
All the sore fingers and hands, “OK, what-do-I-do-next’s”, and bouts of frustration led to LOTS of “small wins” and an eventual feeling that “Hey– I can do this”, and that deep, inner satisfaction that would come across me after a lightbulb moment.
And then there were ALL the Dailies, the Skills Courses, and the grand-daddy of them all– Fretboard Wizard- (I was here during the transition, and got to go thru BOTH- several times). ALL of the above were– and still are– truly fantastic.
But……… the MOST wonderful thing I’ve gotten to experience about TAC…… is RIGHT HERE—- THE FORUM!!!! I have gotten the chance to “meet” and be coached and advised by soooooo many wonderful people, mentors, advisors, heroes, all of the above’s, it’s just overwhelming. Many– MANY deep thanks to all of you!! To all of you who have had to put up with my long-assed, rambling posts- (like this one!)- I’m sorry😎.
***To “new-TAC-ers”—– THIS is the place to find all the GOLD NUGGETS that will REALLY help in your guitar journey. Keep your wits about you, remember that if it was “easy” you wouldn’t have the inner pride inside you when you’re farther along, don’t let self-expectation bum you out, and enjoy the trip and the friendships you’ll make in here. This is a wonderful program going-on here!

@the-old-coach I’ll definitely miss you in the TAC forums Mark. You’re a great friend. I’ve learned so much from your own ramblings and songs, and I admire you’re creativity and ability to tell a story in lyrical form that speaks to my soul and so many others. You have a true gift. Continue to explore and apply what you’ve learned. This isn’t really goodbye for us, because I know I’ll see you in another forum we’re both active in, but TAC holds a special place in my heart. I still learn from the dailies, and I love helping the newer person and seeing them grow and progress in their own journeys, and I love being helped myself with the knowledge that so many others bring to the table.
Stay well my friend, and I’ll see you yonder!

You all are just too kind. And influential. I have learned a LOT in the TAC system– that’s for sure!…. But, I have learned EVEN MORE from my fellow TAC’ers—– right here in the Forum! Discussion things, answering my questions, “pulling me UP”- (and directing me back onto the trail when damn-good-and-lost).
Yes, I sound like a broken record— but being in a Forum-area with folks like YOU-all, has been REALLY AWESOME. Best ever. Too easy to just take for granted and not check in……… More powerful than we can realize.
Thankful beyond words- (but, wow, I can sure seem to yammer-on😏)….

I just read a comment you posted in July. So I guess, you are still around at least once in a while. Although I don´t post much I always enjoyed reading your comments. Wheter you are back on the regular TAC 10 min/day basis or just visiting once in a while, I wish you a good and inspiring time whenever you are here.
