AlphabetGame improv with a few letters missing
Posted by charlie_d on August 26, 2022 at 8:28 amHere goes what sounds like my first “Bass” solo on a guitar. This week’s lesson improv was a fun challenge.

Awesome job @charlie_d ! 👏👏. That backing track, while cool, was a stumper for me regarding improv and you did it well! I particularly liked the improv in the middle of the chord sequence that had a jazz or bluesy (at least to my ears) sound to it. Loved it! Thanks for posting and sharing! 😎🎶🎸👏👍

That was great Charlie_d! 👏🎉🎸😎 Looks like it was complicated to play. 🎸👏

Thanks, @stevieblues ! Oddly enough, I was mostly playing single notes along the chords that were used in the backtrack to improvise here.

You had some really interesting melody lines in there charlie_d. I know what you mean by bass solo – nice clear notes with just using your thumb too!

You did a magnificent job @charlie_d 🤩 with demonstrating an understanding of the technique we were taught on Wednesday as well as an understanding of root notes👏👏👏 The numerous slides, along with plucking around the chords, made for a great improv 😎 I enjoyed watching and listening👍🎸

Thanks much , @Bill_Brown . This one challenged me and had me playing in a style that’s quite different what I usually do. I am also not usually an “all thumbs” player!
