Chocolate Jesus (Tom Wait) FNL VOM 18 Jun 2021
Posted by Loraine on June 19, 2021 at 5:11 amI cut my finger while playing, but I’m proud that I kept on playing through it and finished. I need more inflection and work on vocals and to put more emphasis on certain chords while playing, but overall I’m happy with this performance. My strumming is getting better.

Your strumming and chord transitions are better every time I hear you play. Also your singing is more relaxed. Keep on keepin’ on!

👏👏👏 @Loraine 🤩 Last time I saw a VOM post from you, you wouldn’t sing. Now look at you 👍👍 “Really Truly” a great performance, bleeding hart (finger) and all!!!

Yeah, that finger cut will put a damper on future playing for at least a week. It’s on my index finger tip and is pretty deep actually. For some reason the singing just fell into place with this song, and it would have been painful for others to listen to just the chords. 🙂 Truly appreciate your kind words @Bill_Brown .

Progress is a good thing, especially when I recognize it. Thanks for your support @Marty69

Thanks Jill – coulda done without the cut. I’ve ripped it open twice since. It’s just not in the best locations on the finger. I should probably listen to others that get hurt and take a breather to let healing occur, but it’s just so difficult to do.

Hi Loraine, I agree when the shoulder aches I feel I should cut back but I hesitate to!😏

Good job on your playing and singing. Your singing was right in sink with the melody!

Believe me. I have tried to follow the melody and I’m all over the place with my voice at times. You did quite well.
