I completed my first full week of TAC!

I was a little discouraged by the difficulty of starting mid-week last week, but this week was pretty easy, yet a bit challenging. Especially the Slap shot lick. Once I got the hang of it, that was pretty easy as well. Looking forward to next week!

Congratulations on your first full week @GuitarGeni ! It’s definitely easier starting on day one, and last week was even in an open G tuning! Glad you enjoyed this weeks lessons 🙂

That sums up my whole experience in learning guitar right there. I have learned to not go with my initial reaction on hearing something for the first time. I have had way better results when I take the mindset of “Well, let’s just see what this is all about” especially when accompanied by clear instruction.

    Nice Small Win!!!

Since January I have been a member of TAC. I’ve been easy on myself with growing in playing more consistently. I don’t have too much time weekly, but it’s cool to be learning guitar. I’ve had a guitar since I was 16. I’m 44 now and finally learning how to play it! I bought my first professional acoustic guitar today, an Alvarez MD60EBG, and I’m looking forward to getting it in a week.
I’m learning scales for the first time and seeing more and more patterns in all the chords and chord choices per scale. I’ve been blind so long, it’s great to begin seeing how the language of music works.

Congrats on joining us. Once you make the “daily challenge” a habit, it will get easier and easier.
