Fretboard Wizard Sign-up 2022

I took the fretboard wizard when I first signed up. that is almost a year ago. I have NEVER seen any advertising of being able to sign up for it. Maybe write to support and find out when it’s going to be offered. I actually don’t know why it isn’t offered all the time like the other ‘skill courses’.

Hi @Tom000-18 , last fall when they made FW available, there was a notification (in small print) at the bottom center of the TAC Support page – just below where it says “Tony’s Acoustic Challenge” (which is also in small print). The notification simply said “Fretboard Wizard Enrollment” and when you clicked on it, it took you to an advertisement for FW and from there you could enroll – kind of like when you found the advertisement for TAC. Anyways, you should check the support page daily because when that “notification” comes up, it’s not around for long. Last fall when I first saw it, less than 24 hours later it was no longer there, so you do need to be diligent about looking. Good luck with your hunt and remember Q1 ends at the end of March. If it hasn’t come up by then, just keep looking because I’ve been told (in the past) that Spring enrollment for FW is usually happens March/April. So who knows when TAC will actually have enrollment for FW, I’m not sure that they really stick to a certain schedule in that regard – just keep looking at the TAC Support page😱

You are correct, @Tom000-18 , TAC support told me that the FW course would be offered in the first few months of 2022. However, they also told me there was no definite plan at that time. I would expect the announcement anytime now.

I was also told they would put up a banner across the top of the TAC homepage and put it in the newsletter.

Hi Tom, I signed up yesterday as a Newbie and added the Fretboard Wizard at the same time. In my Dashboard, it appears in the lower left hand corner of the side bar, just under the “30 Days to play” section. I understood it was only available if it was added at time of first purchase. @Desmoteque – Tony mentioned at a recent 90 Day Progress Party that for those of us with Fretboard Wizard (1.0), when they issue Fretboard Wizard (2.0), our initial payment will cover it too. Nice!

I signed up for the Fretboard Wizard when I joined TAC earlier this month and I have been accessing it from the beginning. Is this the same?

Yes, it’s the same course Dave.

I hope that TAC finally can offer the FW course all the time somewhere down the road @Tom000-18 . The headquarters staff, including Tony and Levi, have been working overtime since before the platform change. Newer people wouldn’t realize there has been a whole new week of lessons every month for several months now.

I imagine the hold up on offering the FW course is they don’t want to release the “old” version again. Doing these lessons could be compared to coming up with a new album. Not just time and effort, but a lot of creativity also to accomplish their goals.

Thank you all for trying to help. It is good to know folks are able to signup for FW with the original signup for acoustic challenge. I see the FW on the dashboard but when I go there it says I am not signed up: end of road. I will reach out to support periodically to see if there is another sign-up available. No sure why they don’t make the signup available anytime. Thanks again!!
