  • How do I restart from the beginning of the Daily Challenge?

    Posted by arbogajim on September 25, 2021 at 11:20 am

    I have been a member now for about 20 days. Initially I started the Daily Challenge but realized I wasn’t ready and needed to do the 30 Days to Play series. However when I log into the Home page it presents me with the current Daily Challenge even though I have not done any of that series for over two weeks. Is there any way I can go back to the beginning of the Daily Challenge after I complete 30 Days to Play without having to click the Start Challenge button and then back arrow all the way to the beginning? I feel like I will never get caught up with what is current. I have been enjoying the content, but this could be a deal breaker.

    Hi @arbogajim You can restart from the beginning of the month by going to the list at the left of the current daily challenge lesson and clicking on the first in the list. My suggestion is to just start with the current daily challenge and work forward. The challenges rotate through every 8 months or so, so you won’t necessarily miss any. Each week is a new theme, so if you want, start at the beginning of a week. Also, once the month transitions to a new month, you will not be able to access the prior month’s lessons (until they rotate around again), so again you might want to just start afresh with Monday’s lesson moving forward.

    Hi @arbogajim ;

    Like @Loraine said, there is no “beginning” when it comes to the Daily Challenge other than the beginning of the week or month.

    The Dailies are designed to give you something to work on every day. There is no beginning or end when it comes to learning guitar. Each instructor has their own ideas on where to start and each student has their own preferences of what to learn and where to start. That’s exactly why Tony’s lesson plan is so powerful.

    1st, you have a plan every day of what to work on. 2nd, you work on a different area of guitar skill every day through out the week. 3rd, it doesn’t matter how well or not well you can perform the particular lesson. Whatever you are able to do will, over time, build your guitar skill in all the basic areas.

    If there is some skill, in particular, you want to focus on, go to the “skills” courses.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks @Loraine and @MikeGaurnier for the info, it makes much more sense now. I guess I’ll be sticking around and see where this takes me.

      I’m so happy we could help @arbogajim . This forum has not become as active as the forum on the old platform was, but the instructions are the same. I believe TAC is the best site for building guitar skills over all. My opinion. It won’t take long for you to see improvement.

    I don’t know if it’s been said yet but the daily challenges seem to repeat every year. It’s kind of interesting to remember not being able to play any of them fluently last year and then this time around be able to do it.

      Isn’t that awesome @That_Guy ? If you had not been sure that you had made improvements before then, that would be the absolute proof. And what amazes me, is that you can get better at one of the lessons without ever having revisited that particular lesson or even remember it until it comes up again. Gotta love it.
