  • How I increased my routine

Posted by PSavage on October 4, 2021 at 6:26 pm

So totally new to the group. Just started guitar this year and added TAC to my private lessons, because I wanted more! 👍

Anyway I travel for work a minimum of 1 week a month, and that just got boosted to 2 weeks a month.

I’ve tried taking my guitar in the past but it was a pain flying with it and all the other work items I needed. So upon arriving at the job today I decided to go buy a new guitar and leave it at this facility just so I can practice while away from home!

    My second guitar !

This will really help me keep my daily routine up now 🙌

Welcome to the TAC community @PSavage ! Beautiful guitar, and I think that was the best solution considering how often you have to travel.

Great idea. We travel on occasion so I purchased a small travel guitar to take with me, and I do mean small. Good for you that you have somewhere to store your guitar, hope it works well for you.

If you travel a lot to different places, then getting a small “travel” guitar that can go on the plane or in the back of the car with you like @Cadgirl mentions is a great idea. But since you are traveling to the same place, this is a really great solution and shows that you are committed, @PSavage , congratulations on the NGD (new guitar day) and the solution to playing every day.

Play everyday and have fun = progress!

Great idea if you are always going to the same place. There are some amazing travel guitars around too although again it depends on your budget. These guys are not cheap but specifically target people who jet about but want a full size guitar, not a vut down version.

As an aside I have my first day away from my guitar tomorrow but luckily I know my friend Kelly has a Martin at her place so TAC’s a good excuse for me to ask if I can play it so I don’t miss my practice!
