I have been playing my guitar every day since I bought one last October 2020. For some reason I didn’t pick it up 1 day, then that one day turned in 2 days, then it turned into a week. 10 minutes! I’m sure I could have found 10 minutes to do something on the guitar. Well, yesterday I forced myself to practice and that 10 minutes turned into 40 minutes. I think I am on the road to recovery. Small win, but just showed me how easy it is to get out of that habit.

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I’ve had to miss most of the past week and 1/2 due to travel and I agree with you that it feels really good to jump back in.

I just have to start buckling down. I think i’m getting to a point where I think I should be better, so I just get discouraged. you know…… If it was easy, everyone would be a guitar player!

Hey @Cadgirl It’s great to see and hear from you. You were on my mind the other day. I can understand how easy it would be to fall out of practice sometimes. Life tends to have that effect on things. Glad you’re back at it.

Thanks, I really don’t know what happened to me. I would log on, then, just not do anything! I’m back! I got in an hour of playing yesterday and I’m going to really give it my all to start playing more (at least the daily challenge). My plan is to record songs and store them and use as a base line. thanks again.

It is a journey not a destination so you are back on the trail. Congratulations @Cadgirl

@albert_d , it just gets maddening because it doesn’t take much to just sit and do some scales for a few. If I was on a trip somewhere, or super busy, but I’m not. Just lazy. But, I’m back! So it’s one day at a time. Thanks for the support.

I got out of the habit of playing last April after my surgery. It’s easy to get sidetracked. Glad you are back to playing your guitar now.

Thanks @stevieblues , I actually don’t have any reason not to sit down and play. I have moved a guitar into my art studio, basement, and living room. So if i see one…. PICK IT UP!!! thanks again. Good luck to you also
