This song has not crossed my mind in a while. I enjoyed it. I think of you as a bass but you showed your vocal range with this piece.

Also @KevinZ I was wondering if you have a regular gang with which you get to jam? I do not now since COVID, but I miss it.

Thanks I worked on the range and was apprehensive about posting it but feedback is a great learning tool. This range opens a whole realm of songs. I also was going to jams before the pandemic but now I am not like you. I got an app that lets me learn with the band track and have not ventured out to jams or open mics. Very much want to say your feedback is appreciated.

Agree Albert! Them’s some high notes I’ll never reach! Nicely done, Kevin!

Big fan of those old Bread songs:
Sweet Surrender, Guitar Man, but especially Aubrey!

Thanks langerking my older friends had Best of Bread in 8 track I was the youngest would go cruising around with them before I could drive. It would be playing got to really like it along with many others they were all 3 to 5 years older than me. So when I started driving I spent all my pay for an cassette player lasted 1 week and burnt up. Then waited for the next payday spent again at a hifi liquidators sale for an autoreverse underdash cassette player already had the Jensen Biaxials. Bought tapes like they had and was cat on the walk. So I got exposed to 5 to 10 year old music and couldn’t wait to sing and play them but was never quite good enough to ever begin to think they were postworthy. Now I plan to tackle all of them thanks for letting me know I am going the right direction.

Dang this was good. I love Bread. Loved your vocals. I liked that you were able to raise your pitch. You really stretched them to reach the high notes, and you nailed it. I would love to have seen your hands. The intro was cool, and I’d love to see what you were doing. I like how you did percussive slaps. and would love to learn that skill.

Thanks @Loraine yes I stretched the range David Gates made it sound so smooth. So I just relaxed and went for it practice went even smoother but I kept getting mistakes in lyrics or playing. So I posted the one take that went better or good enough. Now that I did this a whole bunch of songs open up if I can pull it off haha. Thanks for listening in and commenting. Very much appreciated

Great demonstration of vocal range @KevinZ .

No way I could hit those notes unless I capoed up and sang octaves lower (LOL).

Thanks @Bill_Brown was not sure I could do it high played it back and thought it was a lot higher than I remembered. Tried it and thought good now more songs of vocal high range just opened up. I had nice smooth takes before this one but kept making errors. This take had less errors and I thought it would be postworthy. Thanks for listening in and commenting. Very much appreciated
