  • Landslide – finger picking arrangement

I started learning this shortly after signing up with TAC in May 2020. My first 90 day challenge was to learn to play the verse and chorus reading tabs. The next 90 day challenge was to learn that off by heart. My last 90 day challenge was to add a transition arrangement to the chorus and the solo from tabs I came across on YouTube. My next challenge is to learn it all off by heart.

This is a cut down version as the verse can be repetitive and it’s a bit rough around the edges (amazing how nervous you get) but if I don’t upload it now it may never happen. Anyway I hope you enjoy.

Very inspirational @davidw99 for those of us new this year to TAC to demonstrate with setting realistic goals and persistent practice something beautiful happens.

Thanks Guitargeezer. I remember having bruised finger tips, couldn’t hold a note on the first fret without it hurting after a few seconds and now I have callouses.

In my 30’s I alway wanted to play guitar better than just me mucking about most of the time and I am on my way to do that. I have to say the daily practise is what kept me going. Missing a daily challenge has become is something I cannot do, just doesn’t seem right. And I find Tony’s approach is friendly and unassuming which helps.

So why things may seem impossible at the time, I think looking back to see how far you come is very important just to give yourself a bit of perspective.

Thanks Niels. There are a few comments about the tone of the guitar so I thought I would say what I am playing, if anyone is interested.

The guitar is a Martin OM-28 Orchestra model which I bought shortly after starting TAC last year. And it is a joy to play.
