    Erik,

Sounds Awesome!! Really fun to hear you play. You’ve got some serious skills!

In the first bit you played I was thinking where’s the bass? Then you popped into that sweet bass run and I got the WOW of sinker. Really great balance across the tonal range on that guitar.

    CONGRATS!

That is really nice stuff. If you need to adopt that guitar out some time, I may be willing to give it a good home.

Sounds like a good swap, @erikbog

So you had the Furch OM for, what, 14 months?
As far as I remember, an OM and a 000 share the same body shape, but your change got you a shorter scale length and a narrower neck – goes well with those spider fingers (I’m just jealous).

This guitar sounds marvellous – especially when flatpicked – which is also my experience when comparing Furchs and Martins.
Very nice and balanced sound, and I like the looks.

And hey – I get to to own the top dog Furch in TAC again 🙂

Hi @Niels good to see you here. I had a bit of a deeper look into it, because that right shoulder is a bit of an issue.

Furch OM is slightly smaller: not as wide at the lower bout (just under 15 inches) and not as deep. Together with the different scale length this is effecting my playing position. Had a look into it with a guitar teacher, had some tips, did the stretching as recommended by Tony. But the overall experience is just not pleasant. Afterwards. Don’t notice it when I am playing.

Which is a real bummer, coz it is such an awesome guitar in every way. Tone, playability, looks, and it records really nice. But comfort is a factor if you want to play every day.

So maybe I’ll go back to Furch. I’ll give it a few more days and decide.

    Great explanation, @ErikBog
I had never thought about that it might be a playing position issue, but it makes excellent sense.
I just listened again to you playing the Martin, and it sounds gorgeous ❤

Great illustrating if that Sinker! @ErikBog I love the great tonal balance of the individual strings! Not to take away of how flawless you play these days!👋👋
