It may have worked!
This a short, :30-second, section- (instrumental only), of Jim Croce’s “I’ll Have to Say I Love You in a Song”.
Perfect– no. Fun– yes.

That was pretty good for your first video post. Keep on playing and recording! 👏 😎

Wow!– Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement!
Full disclosure- I probably deleted 10-15 oops’s before I actually made it thru- even this short section. Funny– I can play that in my sleep……but when “the camera’s rollin'”– it’s harder. (Does anybody else think so????)……….
Again– thanks……

Yes, @the-old-coach it’s harder once the camera is rolling. I did the same thing. I record a ton of songs till I get one that sounds ok. I’m sure others do the same thing.

I could swear I posted to this, but…. i guess not. Want to let you know, you did great! Love Jim Croce, I find his songs on the harder side, but you did really well with it. I’m sure there will be more to come now that you have uploading songs mastered 🙂

There are actually two different videos- This one, and a “Finally” one. Same tune- but they are different. I like this one better- it’s a little “smoother”
Thanks again for the nice comments!

That was very cool…great job! I haven’t been brave enough to post, every time I turn on the camera my palms sweat and I freeze. Thanks for sharing 😊

Nice job @the-old-coach ! That is a really great chord progression. I also appreciate your tenacity in getting the video posted!

great job!! I love some Jim Croce. Greta job on fret board movement. I still struggle with that.

Again- Thanks for the nice comments. You can’t believe how tentative I was to post a video……… (let alone how tough it was because I didn’t know what the hell I was doing).
Shi and Justin— I remembered what an old friend told me about playing “in front” of people- (I assume it’s the same in videos too)- He said “You have to able to not care if you make a fool of yourself– and just laugh it off”. (Note- He’s played in sort-of-well-known bands in our area for decades- he is GOOD). He said to just make up my mind to do it……… and let ‘er rip!!!
It’s weird—– I practice for ACCURACY- but play with more recklessness- hoping my “practiced” brain-memory will carry me through. It only works sometimes for now🙃.
Maybe you can see that in the “loose” way I play compared to others in here. My fingers are flyin’ everywhere, and if I flub something up– just keep going! Over time, super-accuracy will come- but for now– “lettin’ ‘er rip” works for me.
Botton line——– go for it.
