Got a surprise delivery 5 months earlier than planned. A Martin D-41 with amazing inlays built by the Martin Custom shop in Nazareth Pennsylvania. I had this guitar built as a tribute to my Mom and Dad and my Mother In Law who we lost within a year 2019-2020.

Rosemary loved her rose garden so there are roses in the bridge. There is a “J (heart) J” on the fret board celebrating my parents 60 years of marriage. And finally a beautiful hummingbird that were ever present at Totten Inlet and Lake Burien where they lived. Every time I hold this guitar my first thought will be of these amazing people. I never wrote a song until they passed – but they blew that door open. I have lost track but I think I am over 40 songs now and will have several EP’s on Spotify soon with the help of some very talented friends including Brandon who I met on a VOM and is producing my first EP. None of this would have happened without TAC improving my skills and the VOM’s that helped me learn some new technology, get over my nerves to play in front of people, and just be so supportive. I have not been able to get on the VOMs lately due to schedule but I hope to get back in the groove soon so i see everyone and you can hear this amazing instrument.

Even holding a very special instrument in memory of lost loved ones is bittersweet compared to having special people present in your life @TMutter. May the strings continue to ring out your sorrow and you commence to hear the joyful sound of the happiness those contributed to your life.

@TMutter those D-41’s ring like bells and I’m sure that one will be ringing for a long time. Beautiful guitar!

That is one hell of a beautiful instrument, I too love Martin guitars although I only own one currently ( It’s a GPC28E – I’d love to own a triple O one of these days as well )

If that beautiful guitar sounds only half as nice as it looks that would be amazing. Use it in good health and I’m sure I don’t need to mention enjoying it lol…. I’m guessing you’ve got that covered haha 😀

    Thanks for sharing this!
