New Finger Picking Pattern
I decided to finger pick all the lessons quite a while ago now, but I was just sorta “getting through” the flat picking lessons. But ever since the Monday lesson, “Tax Refund, New Guitar Day”, Tony inspired me to see these lessons differently. He showed us how to emulate alternate flat picking with our thumb and index finger for people “who don’t want to use a pick”. I recognized I was in that category a couple of years ago and so had already learned this technique.
But his statement has caused me to think of everything as practice or new patterns for my finger picking skills. And this rhythm arrangement is a completely new pattern for me and could be utilized immediately in my playing. That’s a pretty big win.
