Our own Kurt G Is Playing Live on Zoom
Friday December 17th
8pm – 10pm (EST)
One of our own, you may know him as Kurt G. His story starts out like so many of us. He dabbled with guitar as a teen, learning the basic chords and always wanting to write songs. He sang in his church choir and school chorus as a youth, and played drums in indie punk and rock bands through his early 20’s. Then he left music behind to pursue a career just like so many others have done.
But then, after a 20 year break, he signed up for guitar lessons in January 2018 with Tony’s Acoustic Challenge. He’s back sharing his gift with other people – finally living his dream of playing guitar, writing songs, and singing his heart out.
He lives just on the edge Central Pennsylvania is looking to start performing locally in 2022 and he wants to have some fun in the local music scene where he lives. I know Kurt is also a major guitar geek. And I know he’s super excited to be here tonight to play for his friends who have been here and supported him from day one.
This is a free event. Doors open at 7:30pm EST

This is just a fantastic show of support from this wonderful community! Kurt – you have an amazing talent. I say talent vs “gift” because you have worked hard to get to this place. It did not fall out of the sky ;). I just realized we have a holiday event that night so I will miss the live performance. I am hoping it will be recorded ?

I totally agree @TMutter, this community is just so special and supportive – regardless of gifts/talents/practice, none of it happens without encouragement and support. And TAC’s got that in spades. For those of us who have known you a while @RealKurt , this is a long time coming. We’re happy to make this happen for you. We wish you nothing but the best for your show and hopefully you’ll find a moment to soak in all of the good vibes that we’ll be sending you not only on this night, but on your actual show. Thanks Vic! I’m really excited (and a little anxious, LOL) about the 17th, and really hope it’s a good time for everybody, and I’m really appreciative of all the support from our community. Without support encouragement from you all, I’m not so sure I’d be at this point in my little guitar journey. I’m grateful for all of you as I embark on the next steps. See you soon Vic!

If it gets recorded please post the link on the forum. I’d love to hear @realkurt play but sadly I’m running sound design and recording for a live theatre podcast that evening. I think this will be a real inspiration for those of us starting out and wondering where TAC might take us so best of luck on the night. Knock it out of the park.

OMG! my friend. You totally Rocked It tonight. Your pitch was perfect, and your playing was amazing. You have a wonderful ability to make the guitar a part of the vocals. You performed so naturally tonight. And finally to close the night with Dig Me A Hole. We just wrapped up and everyone is still raving about that song. You are a star tonight. I couldn’t be happier for you.
