Saturday night jam!
My wife and I were walking the dog saturday night and past by one of my neighbors who was in his garden with his dog. He invited us in so the dogs could play and then took us in the house where he was having a small holiday party.
We were chatting with people drinking wine, when the subject of music and guitars came up. My wife said, oh Ted is learning to play the guitar. Our host pulled me into the front room where another guy was noodling around on guitar, and placed a nice Yamaha acoustic in my hands and said, play!
I have yet to really learn any songs so was playing a GCDFmaj7CG progression in a boom chic manner. Our host had the other guy play along with me while coaching him.
We then moved into a Blues progression in E, and so on for about an hour. Our host who is quite good began playing and singing a few songs. Afterwards, he said come on back and let’s play every Saturday. So wow, now I have a reason to learn some songs, and I have to say it was a real blast, a great small win!
