Two Years and still plugging away!
My story is similar to many others. Life long dream of playing guitar. Numerous starts and quits and after 35 years still cant play.
Two years ago, I fully retired after 40 years in Law Enforcement. Now in my early 60’s, we moved to a lake is a small community in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I had always dreamed of owning a Martin Guitar. But could not justify the expensive if it was going to be another start and quit endeavor.
Two year ago today, while scroll, I came across someone selling a HD28 Martin, about 80 miles away. All my dreams reignited. Could this time be different? If I buy this Martin, I have to commit long term.
Long story – Short – I did it. But, I needed a program, lessons, something to commit to? After a week of searching on line, I came a crossed TAC. And my journey began. I have committed to playing everyday and have only missed 2 days in 2 years. I may not play as long as I want, but Guitar is now apart of my life. Two weeks ago, I had left rotator cuff surgery and was worried I would not be able to continue. But, I continued to strum and after 5 days was able to reach the 1st fret and play chords again.
Year 3, I hope to commit to more time playing. Thanks Tony!
